I love the name [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], but find it a bit common as a boys name. Having trouble picking a girls name and wondered if [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] could be spelled differently to use as a girls name. I did come across the name [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] on Nameberry for a girls name, if that can be ok I guess anything goes! [name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for some feedback, thanks.
IMHO, I think [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] on a girl is rather beautiful.
Please no.
Have you considered [name_f]Isla[/name_f]?
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is far too popular as a boys name to really work on a girl. The sound is softer than other boys names, but I can’t see it working. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] (pronounced Eye-luh) could be a good compromise.
What is it you like about [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]?
I could see itm.maybe. I want to use [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] on a boy and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] on a girl
[name_m]Isiah[/name_m] is a BOYS name. Changing the spelling doesn’t make it feminine. There are plenty of girls names to choose from.
Sorry, but I like it on boys only
Noooooo, it’s a boy’s name!
You sound like a troll.
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] has been a male name for thousands of years. Sticking it on a girl doesn’t make the name unique. Instead of being a male “[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] R.” in school, you have a “girl-[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]”.
It would sound odd to me, since [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is a well-known male Biblical figure.
I am not against boy’s names on girls ([name_u]Peyton[/name_u], [name_u]Sidney[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] to name a few) but personally I cannot imagine [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] as a girl’s name.
I think [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] could be beautiful girls name if you like it. I don’t think it is to attached to the biblical figure and it does have a feminine sound.
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is and has always been a masculine name. Changing the spelling not only doesn’t make it feminine, but takes away what makes it in my opinion such a great BOY name. What about [name_f]Isaura[/name_f] or [name_f]Isaure[/name_f]?
No way. [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is a strong and masculine Biblical boy’s name; it doesn’t work at all for girls.
It’s such a gorgeous boy’s name and there’s no need to try to make it a girl’s name when there are plenty of other feminine names, as previous posters have stated.
I absolutely agree with this!!
Please no. [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is a strong, biblical masculine name.
