Iseult - how do you pronounce it?

This name has been on my mind for a very long time now but I’ve toyed with a few different pronunciations and can’t really settle on a definitive one. The biggest issue is that every part of the name has a couple of differing pns.

ISEULT =
ee- or ih- + z or s + olt or ult or oolt (+ emphasis on first vs second syllable?)

You see the issue!? [name_m]How[/name_m] would you instinctively say it? Also, does the pronunciation make you think of the word ‘assault’? Because thats’ another sort-of-silly issue I have with it!

Thank you! (oh and I should mention, [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] is pretty much ruled out, please don’t suggest it).

Honestly, I have no idea. I’d probably immediately default to EYE-seult, but I’d be very unsure of it.

I say ih-ZOLT.

Here’s a pronunciation vid. And another.http://www.pronouncenames.com/pronounce/iseult

I say ee-ZOLT, but I might be wrong. [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] is ee-ZOL-duh, so…

I would probably instinctively say ee-ZOHT or ee-ZOLT

In English I have absolutely no idea how I’d pronounce it. It’s two syllable with the emphasis on the second syllable for me, but beyond that I’m a bit clueless where to start.
Genereally, I’d use the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation, even in [name_m]German[/name_m].

I’d go with Is-ee-ult. And no, never connected it with assault. [name_u]Love[/name_u] how it looks written down.

Is/Iz - ault (rhymes with salt but that may be my accent). I think olt isn’t a wrong description. Honestly to me -olt, -alt, -ault all sound only slightly different and based on accent, I imagine people in NYC would say it slightly different than the rest of the state.

I say it much like [name_f]Isolde[/name_f], but with a T.

I’d probably say eye-zult or eee-zult, last syllable rhyming with cult

I pronounce ir pretty much the same as [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] - EE-solt

I say something like ih-SSYULT, with the ‘uhlt’ sound kind of rhyming with ‘fault’. I know you weren’t asking for opinions, but I love it and the only reason it left my list was the differing pronunciations, ha.
