Which name do you prefer out of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and why?
Thanks!
I like both names, but I think I have to go with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. It feels softer, and a bit more feminine.
I like both but [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is my favorite. The sound is so soft, feminine, and beautiful, and I like the look of the name too.
Both are beautiful names. Despite liking the name [name_f]Isla[/name_f], I just always think Is-la and I can’t help but think that majority of people would mispronounce it. I would go with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], it’s a classic and has loads of cute nicknames: [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! It’s classic and sophisticated, but still fun and spunky! I really don’t care for [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and don’t understand all the hype. Plus it’s so trendy right now. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is far superior in my opinion.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! A classic name with great meaning, lots of nickname options ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Liza[/name_f]), and easy pronunciation.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] b/c [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] offers many options and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] offers none and is over-used.
I much prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]- it’s spunky and classic and fits a variety of personalities really well. [name_f]Isla[/name_f]'s already a teensy bit dated where I live (it is very much an early 2000’s name) and I think it is really going to be one of those names that is marked with belonging to a particular era.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] definitely! I’ve never really liked [name_f]Isla[/name_f]…
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I am okay with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but somehow I never really like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! [name_f]Isla[/name_f] is very trendy right now, but [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] like some have said, is so spunky, sophisticated, sweet, cute and classic all at the same time. Beautiful name!
I like both but prefer eliza.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I have Scottish heritage so I love it. It can’t be that hard to pronounce since it’s the same really as Island
I adore [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and all of the nn options!
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] feels too ‘airy’ when I say it aloud, like its missing some consonants or something; I can see the appeal, but I don’t enjoy saying it.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] for sure - I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, and more fun/unexpected than [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. I think its a beautiful name.
I adore both, you literally can’t go wrong! I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] because she’s a bit less trendy, and a bit more substantial. But I would be excited to meet a little girl named either name!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but we took it off our list due to the risk of mispronunciation in the southern US. I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is cute as well!! I doubt you could go wrong with either name
I think both are nice names.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is a bit more modern and trendy, and more popular right now. It is a bit more feminine and soft, and could run into some proununciation issues, although it’s popularity should run that risk down.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is a stronger sounding name, less popular so might be seen as dated by some who strongly prefer trendier names, but better if you want to be sure your child is the only one in her class. Might get mistaken as a NN for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but better NN options on its own.
I’d choose [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] between the two.
I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] because it has a softer feel to it.
