I thought it was like the Spanish for island (Ees-la) for the longest time too until I heard [name]Isla[/name] [name]Fisher[/name]'s name out loud. I think the correct pronunciation of Eye-la is prettier. I have no doubt, unfortunately, that parents will begin picking whatever pronunciation they want.
