Islet vs. Iola

We can’t decide between Islet and [name_f]Iola[/name_f]. Looking for some advice. Help!!!

Islet is so beautiful, I would most definitely chose that one! [name_f]Iola[/name_f] just doesn’t have the same appeal to me, though both names are gorgeous!

I prefer the sound and the look of Islet over [name_f]Iola[/name_f]! It’s lovely - the only thing with Islet, though, is it’s a word meaning a small island or a pancreatic structural tissue - so you’d have to bear that in mind! Both are beautiful sounding names, though

I knew about it being a small island but didn’t realize the anatomy definition :eek:. My husband doesn’t like the spelling Eyelet because it looks too much like Eye-lid.

What about the spelling, Islette??

Spelling it Islette definitely lessens the island/structural tissue connotations!
