Isolde as middle if son has first name Tristan

I love [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] (ee-sol-duh) and would love to use it as middle for a girl, but is it cheesy when one of our sons has first name [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]?

I don’t think so…the story isn’t as well known as, say, [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], and you won’t always use the middle in daily life, anyway!

I say yes. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t do it especially being that they are siblings. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though one will be a middle name and most people won’t know it will be known to some and potentially embarrassing

I don’t think so! If it was the first name then probably, but most people won’t know her middle name. I know people who named two of their kids [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and I didn’t realize the [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] connection for the longest time. I also agree with @leadmythoughts too, the story isn’t that well known (at least it isn’t where I live).

I say go for it. I agree that the story isn’t too well known, and that since it is a middle while the other is a first, it likely won’t be an issue.

I think it’s fine.

Well, I’d personally find it a little weird. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if nobody else knows her middle name, she’ll know it. I’d think it was weird if my middle name was the lover of my brother’s first name, but I’d get over it I guess.
