Another masterlist of names that I made after research on Italian naming forums, blogs, posts, Wikipedia, sources.
Some of the names are gender neutral both in Italy and other countries. Some only in Italy or viceversa. Some are masculine only in Italy (Nicola) but femenine or neutral in other countries or viceversa.
Margherita, Alice, Elena and Isabella are historically femenine names which got used on boys. Now it is very rare, but still exist (See “Prince” Aimone of Savoy’s middle names, and he is still alive so definitely not historical).

As you may notice, Italy and France follows a different trend than English speaking countries which use masculine names on girls and then become neutral (James, Logan, Rory) and almost never the opposite.
Italy and France (especially Italy) uses femenine names on boys which then become neutral (Celeste, Loreto, Amabile). The only boy names which got used on girls are in fact Andrea, and Felice (in Italy).
Differently from English speaking countries which had examples of girls named William or George in the past, in Italy historically have been of many examples of Margherita, Isabella, Elena and Alice (the last also in France) mostly in noble or upple class families, mostly as middles.
There is, for example, still a descendent of Savoy- “Prince” Aimone and his father which have Elena Maria or Isabella in their middles.
Italy, differently than France, uses also adjectives and nature names as gender neutral names.
Probably there are other names too but these are the most common ones I found
