[name]Hi[/name]! I’ve bolded my favorites and italicized once I think you might consider letting go of. Some I can’t decide on either! These are actually all really solid though, I read a lot of birth announcements and I have to say I love your taste!
I’ve made some suggestions at the end of a few of the entries…
[name]Annora[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] - [name]Both[/name] names are nice. You get nicknames [name]Annie[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]. People won’t know what to do with [name]Annora[/name] sometimes. [name]Both[/name] names have 3 syllables and the vowels bump into each other a little. It’s good overall. [name]Annora[/name] [name]Louise[/name] or [name]Annora[/name] [name]Lois[/name] might sound better.
[name]Anthea[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name] - I like [name]Anthea[/name] pretty well, not [name]Lorraine[/name] as much. [name]Annie[/name] and [name]Thea[/name] are nicknames. People may get it confused with [name]Althea[/name] and [name]Aretha[/name]. The rhythm is good. It’s perfectly solid, but I don’t care for it completely overall. I like [name]Anthea[/name] [name]Lorette[/name]/[name]Laurette[/name] a little more.
[name]Arista[/name] [name]Elsbeth[/name] - [name]Ari[/name], maybe, for a nn? This makes me think of Aristocrats. Isn’t there also a record label or something like that? The vowels bump and the whole thing feels a little clunky, rhythm wise. You could do far worse, but I can’t endorse it strongly. [name]Arista[/name] [name]Elinor[/name] I like a little more.
[name]Aveline[/name] [name]Lucille[/name] - I think this is gorgeous! I love how French it is, how the rhythm works, good stuff. [name]Ave[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Avi[/name], [name]Avie[/name], Liney, maybe you could play the first and middle off each other and have [name]Avi[/name]-[name]Lu[/name] or Lilu, so cute. I do think people will stumble on prn and spelling of [name]Aveline[/name] sometimes, but I think it’s worth it. High praise here.
[name]Avigail[/name] [name]Bernice[/name] - I love this form of [name]Abigail[/name], although I worry it will confuse people. [name]Avi[/name], [name]Ava[/name], [name]Gail[/name] come to mind. [name]Bernice[/name] feels really clunky here, just sort of dated still, although the rhythm works overall. Pretty good but not without reservations. [name]Avigail[/name] [name]Felice[/name] would appeal to me more.
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name] - I love [name]Beatrice[/name]! [name]Bea[/name] is a natural, [name]Trish[/name] or [name]Trixie[/name] maybe. I know a [name]Beatrice[/name] who goes by [name]Betty[/name]. I don’t love these two names together, 3-3 rhythm and [name]Beatrice[/name] feels so studious while [name]Lorelei[/name] feels trendy and glamorous, but it works well enough. A perfectly fine choice. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Laura[/name] would be more to my taste, maybe [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name].
[name]Corina[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] - I love both these names! [name]Coco[/name], [name]Corey[/name], [name]Rina[/name], [name]Colette[/name] by a stretch maybe? I do think the spelling and prn on [name]Corina[/name] are a little hard, and the ending of it bumps up against lovely [name]Adelaide[/name] a little, plus the rhythm is 3-3. Still, it’s a nice name. [name]Corinne[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] would sound better to me.
[name]Edith[/name] [name]Roselle[/name] - I have really come around to [name]Edith[/name] recently though I know a lot of people still find it way too old lady. [name]Edie[/name] is an obvious nickname that is so sweet. I think this combo is not great, 2-2 rhythm and [name]Roselle[/name] feels older too so it weighs [name]Edith[/name] down a little to me. [name]Edith[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Edith[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Edith[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] would all be much lovelier to me.
[name]Elena[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] - I adore this. Perfection. [name]Love[/name] how the long a sounds play off each other, 3-2 rhythm. [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Elle[/name], [name]Nell[/name], [name]Nellie[/name], [name]Lena[/name], [name]Leni[/name], maybe even [name]Zell[/name] playing off the middle. [name]Lovely[/name].
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Althea[/name] - [name]Evangeline[/name] has never been one I can get fully behind; it’s pretty, but feels like a lot and kind of trendy. [name]Eve[/name], [name]Eva[/name], [name]Evie[/name], [name]Angel[/name], [name]Angie[/name], Linie, lots of nickname options though. The rhythm is fine in this combo, although it’s kind of long.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Tabitha[/name] - I adore both these names! [name]Gen[/name], [name]Genny[/name], [name]Nev[/name], [name]Eve[/name], [name]Evie[/name], [name]Vivi[/name], lots of nickname options. I’m not sure it’s the best combination, 3-3 rhythm and just generally long, but it works well enough. [name]Lovely[/name] one here. [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Edith[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Tara[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Agatha[/name] capture some of the sound and might work a little better.
[name]Johanna[/name] [name]Esme[/name] - I adore [name]Johanna[/name] and it works pretty well with [name]Esme[/name], I just find the vowels bump each other a tiny bit. [name]Jo[/name], [name]Josie[/name] by a stretch maybe, [name]Jo[/name]-[name]May[/name], [name]Hanna[/name], [name]Anna[/name], [name]Annie[/name], [name]Jackie[/name] by a stretch all come to mind. A really nice one overall.
[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] - I love both these names! So much [name]Shakespeare[/name] here too! The 3-3 rhythm is my one mild reservation, but they combine well, structure-wise. [name]Jules[/name], [name]Julie[/name], [name]Lettie[/name], [name]Ettie[/name], [name]Etta[/name], you could probably pull off all of those. [name]Lovely[/name].
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Camille[/name] - [name]Divine[/name], [name]Margaret[/name] is such a classic and so nice with [name]Camille[/name]! [name]Margo/name, [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Mag[/name], [name]Meg[/name], [name]Megan[/name], [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Mae[/name], [name]Greta[/name], [name]Gretchen[/name], lots of nicknames here. A great option.
[name]Mathilda[/name] [name]Ariel[/name] - I prefer the [name]Matilda[/name] spelling as it’s more intuitive, but this is also fine. It sounds nice with [name]Ariel[/name], even if the vowels bump a little and the rhythm is 3-3. [name]Mattie[/name], [name]Tillie[/name], [name]Tilda[/name] come to mind. A nice option.
[name]Ramona[/name] [name]Violet[/name] - I love both these names, and they are very pretty together! [name]Romy[/name] and [name]Mona[/name] come to mind. The initials RV are a little funny, but I don’t think it’s a big problem.
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Aurelia[/name] - [name]Both[/name] of these names are gorgeous, it’s maybe a touch much together? [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosa[/name], [name]Rosie[/name]. [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Aura[/name] might shorten it some? Nice choice.
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Bernadette[/name] - [name]Rose[/name] is such a classic and it’s nice to see it come out from the middle spot. [name]Bernadette[/name] is still too clunky and old for me, but I would still recommend this one overall, it’s got good rhythm and is very elegant. [name]Rose[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] would be preferable to me.
[name]Seraphina[/name] [name]Elinor[/name] - [name]Seraphina[/name] is lovely, but it will for me be forever a celebu-baby name. [name]Sera[/name], Phina/[name]Fina[/name], Phee/[name]Fee[/name], [name]Sadie[/name] and [name]Sally[/name] by a stretch. I don’t love it with [name]Elinor[/name] although it’s not bad. [name]Seraphina[/name] [name]Helen[/name] would sound better to me.
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Agatha[/name] - I adore [name]Vivienne[/name]! [name]Viv[/name] and [name]Vivi[/name] naturally. I don’t love it completely together with [name]Agatha[/name], 3-3 rhythm and they just seem a little clash-y, but they’re both excellent names and it works enough. [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Ines[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Edith[/name], maybe even [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Tabitha[/name] are a little similar and I like them a little more
All best!
