Forgive me, 3rd post today, but recently found the name Iveryn (you may have seen my Ivy-Wren/Iveryn post) and my fiance actually likes it. But idk, I like uncommon but established names, and I could find record of Iveryn being used as a name, but [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is much more widely established so I can’t help but feel more confident with [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. The names are similar, they’re both 6 letters, starting with I, ending in N, but I know my fiance prefers Iveryn.
Additionally, one of the middle names will have to be [name_f]Stacie[/name_f], [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f], or [name_f]Renee[/name_f] (honor names), which Iveryn [name_f]Renee[/name_f] won’t work leaving Iveryn [name_f]Stacie[/name_f] or Iveryn [name_f]Anastacia[/name_f] neither of which I’m keen on.
The full name I already have in mind for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]: [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Ivey[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] S**ton
Secondly, I usually hate changing the spelling but I’m considering Imagen instead of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] because I think the pronunciation is more intuitive that way but it is very similar to Image/Imagine. Idk… thoughts?
Iveryn is interesting - sort of surnamey, sharp and sleek.
I do still prefer [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (this spelling - Imagen looks like [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] spelled creatively and I think it’s the name of an AI tool?) - and I know you’ve mentioned the pronunciation of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] being difficult, but with Iveryn - is it Ih-veh-rin, Eye-veh-rin, or something else?
Still, Iveryn is nice - and for middles, I’d consider:
Iveryn [name_f]Taisie[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_f]Casie[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_f]Renata[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_f]Tasia[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_f]Macie[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_u]Esme[/name_u]
Iveryn Stephanie/Stephanee
Lol yeah I learned about the AI tool right after I posted this. Iver-rin is how I’ve been saying it but yeah exactly why I’m nervous about Iveryn, it’s pretty obscure so idek if I’m saying it right.
That’s how I would pronounce it!
I prefer Iveryn because it’s more my style, and if I chose middle names they would be:
Iveryn [name_u]Lake[/name_u] (Anastacia)
Iveryn [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (Stacie)
Iveryn (Stacie) [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
Iveryn [name_u]Makenzie[/name_u] (Anastacia)
As I said in the other Iveryn/Ivy-Wren thread, I personally would struggle to pronounce and spell it without being familiar with it, so I’m not a huge fan. [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is a beautiful classic, and with the sweet combo [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Ivey[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] you still get to use Ivy/Ivey!
Not a fan of the Imagen spelling, I think it’s generally better to stick to the traditional spelling! And Imagen does just look like “imagine” misspelled to me.
I’m leaning towards [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], the pronunciation is more straight forward and it is a pretty name. I think Iveryn is pretty on paper but I imagine that there would be some uncertainty about how it is pronounced. If you wanted to keep that sort of sound, I see no reason why you couldn’t go with Ivy-Wren.

Imagen is imagine for me. What abiut imogyn
The pronounciation issue comes from the O, hence why for a minute I though Imagen would be more intuitive, but its the name of an AI tool so im not considering it anymore.

Naming is hard, ask as many questions as you like!
Iveryn is interesting feels very fashionable with a cool surname sound along with feeling rather mystical and pixie like. However I am left feeling a little confused as to how this name is meant to be pronounced and you seem to be very focused on your child’s name being easy to say. I honestly feel that Imogen’s pronunciation is definitely more intuitive in comparison to Iveryn. I do also prefer [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]! [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is beautiful, timeless and very classic you really do not need to switch up the spelling to Imagen. In my opinion Imagen looks like the parents have named their child [name_f]Imagine[/name_f] but used a more creative spelling. In my opinion in relation to [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] I feel that you’re potentially over complicating the name and potentially slightly overthinking the pronunciation. [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] really isn’t tricky to say, I would the same looks how your meant to say her and I feel [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] ticks the majority of your boxes. [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is gorgeous!
Good luck
Iveryn sounds like an anti-anxiety drug.
Go with [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and spell it correctly and all will be fine!
Much prefer [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] which is classic but not super common. I wouldn’t change the spelling from the established and familiar to something kreative. Iveryn isn’t my style. Your original combo is lovely.
I prefer [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and wouldn’t change the spelling.
imogen ivey renee is a gorgeous name! i agree with what others have said; i think the pronunciation of imogen is pretty easy to guess with the normal spelling and i think you’ll have way more problems with iveryn, though it is beautiful. with imagen i see the word image more than anything. i don’t think you need to change the spelling at all!
maybe iveryn as a middle if you’re really stuck on it? but personally, i think imogen is perfect and the full name you’ve chosen for it is lovely. go with imogen!
