Jabez or Jael or ? We’re team 💚! baby #7 ideas?

[name_f][/name_f]

Thank you for the suggestions! I agree with [name_f]Salomé[/name_f]. It’s very similar, although it’s one reason I love it! Ha. But it would be admittedly hard to not get them mixed up!

[name_f][/name_f]

Wow! [name_f]Love[/name_f] so many of these options. Thank you for the thoughtful list! Really do like these long O options…esp [name_m]Obed[/name_m]! Gave me a lot to think about and some new ideas.

Thank you! I’ve seen some of these before, but def you have me considering more. [name_f]Love[/name_f] all the ideas. [name_m]Othniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Zevi[/name_m] both awesome.

Thanks for your comments! I actually have Kepha [name_m]Theophilus[/name_m] as one of my combos on my list! And I’ve toyed with [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] many times in the past, with other children. Crazy! I also love [name_m]Kairos[/name_m] Kepha! Don’t know if I can get my way across the board…but I agree it sounds so satisfying somehow!

[name_f][/name_f]

Really love these other suggestions as well, esp the boy ones. [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m] is an interesting one I had not thought of before!

Thank you![name_f][/name_f] I understand about distracting from nausea! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you get to 12-15 weeks soon & safely.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Dov[/name_m] & [name_m]Tov[/name_m]! I was even thinking [name_m]Tov[/name_m] Kephas [name_f][/name_f] (good Rock) or [name_m]Tov[/name_m] [name_f]Blessing[/name_f] would be so good!

[name_f][/name_f]

Appreciate all these suggestions. These are all
[name_f][/name_f]so helpful in making my list!

Reuel is so pretty! I’ve always liked the short “Rue” but felt it needed more. Such a pretty idea. Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestions! Very helpful!

[name_f][/name_f]

I agree! Def needing to have 2 options (which really makes it like 4, 6, 8 etc )—is causing me to be unsure about it all. Ha! But I do see it as a blessing too… I can think of all the possibilities on both sides…all the way to the end!

[name_f][/name_f]

Thank you for your feedback.

Thank you so much!!!

I really do love [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] Kephas as well, so I guess we can’t go wrong either way! Ha. But yes, the [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] story doesn’t initially seem as strong as [name_m]Mordecai[/name_m] (whose story I love!!!). But it really is about asking [name_m]God[/name_m] to make him a blessing, and not a curse, and to expand what he can do (his boundaries) for God’s glory. For this reason, we lean towards it.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is such a sweet name, but perhaps some name association there that might be hard to conquer.

[name_f][/name_f]

Jonah/Jonas, Josiah/Josias—love all these in different ways, but I don’t think I can get my crew on board! I’m writing them down tho.

[name_f][/name_f]

Thanks

Yes, the story of [name_f]Jael[/name_f] is a bit startling at first read. But we do see it as an example of a warrior woman who takes the opportunity [name_m]God[/name_m] puts in her lap (literally!) and is not afraid to go against an enemy, by whatever means! Sounds intense, but there are metaphorical situations like this in life that still occur, and we’d love our daughters to feel they can do this. :muscle:
[name_f][/name_f]Well, that’s the thought behind the meaning.

[name_f][/name_f]

Agape is so beautiful, right? I used to think it was clunky, but the more I hear it & think of it as a girl’s name, the more endearing & meaningful it seems. And somehow it’s sounding softer to me…

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Liel[/name_f] & [name_f]Olivet[/name_f] are lovely options…not sure I’ll get support for them, but how pretty?!

[name_f][/name_f]

I have always loved Hadassah…but alas, a major name association there, and I can’t get past it

[name_f][/name_f]

Thank you for all your helpful suggestions.

That’s fair! [name_f][/name_f] There are other characters I see the redemption in and love, so I can definitely respect loving [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] and [name_f]Jael[/name_f] for the same reasons!

[name_f][/name_f]

I agree, Agape is lovely, it sounds very light and lyrical, feels like a combination of the best parts of [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] to me?

[name_f][/name_f]

I’m glad you like [name_f]Liel[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivet[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] There was a berry on here years ago whose style reminds me a lot of your kiddos… [name_f][/name_f] I don’t know if I can remember all her babies but I know she did use [name_f]Olivet[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] for one of her girls and it just felt so you that I had to suggest it! [name_f][/name_f] I think her other girls were [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Acacia[/name_f], [name_f]Juniper[/name_f], and [name_f]Verity[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] What a shame about Hadassah; I thought I remembered you mentioning her in the past! [name_f][/name_f] Secretly hoping you can get everyone on board with [name_f]Liel[/name_f] or [name_f]Olivet[/name_f] because how gorgeous would [name_f]Liel[/name_f] Agape or [name_f]Olivet[/name_f] Agape be?!

[name_f][/name_f]

All the best!

[name_f]Love[/name_f] these backgrounds to the names! Thanks!

[name_f][/name_f]

Well, I think [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] IS back on the table! Because we have been discussing so many things… And because we had a major amazing thing happened to us… A healing! I am going back to the drawing board on the names with the girls, especially. Thinking that we might go for [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] [name_f]Salomé[/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

I had found that [name_f]Salome[/name_f] means peace, of course, but also healing or wholeness… We had a report of mild hydrocephaly almost 2 weeks ago at the 20 week scan… And about a week and some change later… Found that it had all resolved. We are praising [name_m]God[/name_m] for the healing… And now I would love some type of healing element in both of the names.

[name_f][/name_f]

we are going back to [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] as a first for the boy… So I would like to include a Rapha in there… For the boy, it will probably be something longer like [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] Rapha Kephas!

[name_f][/name_f]

For the girl… Perhaps [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] [name_f]Salomé[/name_f]. [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] Means love and renewal and peace…all of those beautiful things with the Myrtle… And so perhaps [name_f]Salome[/name_f] will cover the healing and wholeness aspect that I want to honor.

[name_f][/name_f]

We are just so overwhelmed with this miracle and very excited.

[name_f][/name_f]

Thanks for all your input!

[name_f]Praise[/name_f] the [name_m]Lord[/name_m]! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] works so beautifully with your kiddos and how precious that the [name_m]Lord[/name_m] healed her in your womb.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Jabez[/name_m] Rapha Kephas is ridiculously cool and so lovely next to your other boys! [name_f][/name_f] And [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] [name_f]Salome[/name_f] is a beautiful name (and a perfect sister to [name_m]Amare[/name_m] (sorry, it’s so hard to do accents on this computer), [name_f]Selah[/name_f], and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f] I particularly love her with [name_f]Selah[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] The connection to Hadassah/Queen [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is also so beautiful. [name_f][/name_f] I love the meanings of love, renewal, and peace together for you, and love the connection to the [name_f]Salome[/name_f] at the tomb.

I thought I’d drop some suggestions I thought were nice that I haven’t seen mentioned

[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Miquel[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Zion[/name_m]

Thank you![name_f][/name_f] these are very nice![name_f][/name_f] I have always loved Zion…and [name_f]Paola[/name_f] is very lovely!

Thank you! I also think Amaré, Sélah, Noémi and Hadassah sounds so lovely. We absolutely love the story of Queen Esther here, and Hadassah has been a long favorite of mine (since meeting one in high school—that girls parents were way ahead of their time, in a world of Rebekahs, Esthers, Marys, Jennifers, Brittneys and Christinas, they had a Hadassah & Revkah!). I also love the renewal, hope, love, righteousness etc—all wrapped up in the Myrtle tree.

I still love Jael, but I was so struggling with the mistake of “jail” in pronunciation. :smirk: And didn’t really want to do Ya’el as I felt we wouldn’t that one Justice! Ha. Noémi is Noémi Hesed, but I was ok with our English pronunciation of “chesed” as it was a middle & not used constantly. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Job, Boaz, Shiloh & Jabez sound so well together too, in a strong-type sort of way. :relieved: We def went for major legacy stories for each one (Shiloh was named so for a similar healing experience, and I was praying Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel where she went to the tabernacle at Shiloh…so he got his legacy name in his middle: Shiloh Moses). I was voting for Tekoa or Kairos, to keep my symmetry (and because Kai and Koa such cute nicknames!!!)…but truly Jabez fits us best in many ways.

Ahh, yes, I am a big lover of [name_f]Queen[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] too; I heard someone joke once that [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is every girl’s favorite Bible story and sometimes I wonder if it’s true. [name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] I know a [name_f]Hadassa[/name_f] in Brazil; she’s a really sweet girl. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] is a great name! [name_f][/name_f] I like the symmetry of [name_m]Job[/name_m], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f], and [name_m]Jabez[/name_m], too [name_f][/name_f]- [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] and [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] both end in Z; [name_m]Job[/name_m] and [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] both have the "O"s. [name_f][/name_f] But [name_m]Jabez[/name_m] also has Job’s B (well, Boaz’s too), and Job’s J! [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Even[/name_m] if it doesn’t have the O, there’s still a lot in common with his brother’s (if baby’s a boy!).
