I would love to hear your opinions on these particular boy names. Which of them is your favorite/least favorite, why and any suggested middle names 
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] is my firstborn’s name so obviously that one’s my fave. [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] would be on my list but my husband has a cousin named [name_m]Kaleb[/name_m] who was their grandmother’s obvious favorite and he’s vetoed it. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is my least favorite, I don’t have a good reason for it, maybe it’s the meaning, maybe it’s that I knew a lot of jacobs growing up.

[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] would be my favorite because of the way it sounds & the religious connotation. [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] is my second favorite also for religious connotations. [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] is last though I don’t really know why. I like all of them but if I had to rank them it would be [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u], & [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] in that order.

I love the nickname [name_m]Gabe[/name_m] but don’t love the name [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] - I think because it sounds quite feminine and close to the female name [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]. [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] is a lovely name, it is familiar but not overused which is an appeal for me. I like the name [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] but do not like the nickname ‘Jake’ so if I had a [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] I would be annoyed if peopled shortened to this.

[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] is one of my all time favourite names! [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is a classic. The only [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] I know is on Clarkson’s Farm. I’ve met him and he is a really nice guy. But it feels too different to [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] so I wouldn’t use it and therefore I have to say it’s my least favourite

They’re all nice. I think my rankings go like this:
Gabriel-It’s just so beautiful as is, but then again, I feel like it’s too long to use as an every day name. That being said, I’m just not that into [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]. I don’t dislike it, but it’s not as good as [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. I do love the nns [name_m]Gib[/name_m] & [name_m]Gibby[/name_m], but maybe those are a bit of stretch.
Jacob-I think it’s handsome & gentle but also kind outdoorsy manly. It’s sort of been really popular for quite a long time, so maybe that’s why I give [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] the slight edge. I’m also about as excited about [name_m]Jake[/name_m] as I am for [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], but [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] doesn’t seem as needing as a nn.
Caleb-It’s not a bad name, but I just never could get into it. I don’t have a great reason why. Maybe it just feels a bit over done. But more like it was barely ever heard until recently, so even though it’s slightly less popular than [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], it seems a bit more trendy. I do love the nn possibility here though…of [name_u]Cal[/name_u]! Which is kind of a stretch, but makes me like [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] more.

[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]! It is my top boys name and has been for years. I also really like [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]. I love that they are both biblical, but have a bit of a cowboy feel too. I don’t mind [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] but I knew a guy in high school who kind of ruined the name for me unfortunately. But it is a nice enough name.
I love [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_u]Zion[/name_u] or [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] or [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] to [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
For [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] I like [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] or [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] or [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].

All of these are perfectly lovely names!
That said, I’m not keen on Jacob. The “cub” sound at the end is not to my taste. It’s too “rough-and-tumble” for me. Also, the nn Jake is similarly boyish. Jack is much more dashing and elegant and maintains the youthful vibe of Jacob or Jake.
Gabriel, magical and starry-eyed with rich curls. It’s a beautiful name in the truest sense and I’m always dazzled by it. That said, I don’t like the nn Gabe.
Caleb is wildly popular in my church and it does sound friendly, but “Kay” and “Leb” aren’t dazzling together.

I would say my favorite is probably [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], followed by [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], then [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. I just think [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is very masculine, has lots of great history, and good nicknames. I think similar things about [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], but it has fewer nicknames. I don’t love [name_m]Gabe[/name_m], or that it shares a space with girl names like Gabrielle/Gabriella.
