Hmmm this was in the birth announcements in my local paper the other day. It’s not really my style. at all. Prefer [name]Jacoba[/name].
My son has twins in his class named [name]Jacob[/name] and [name]Jacoby[/name]…not very creative for twins I thought but I do like [name]Jacoby[/name]!

I dislike it very much! I think Jacob on its own is fine. Popular, but handsome and meaningful. Jacoby is trying too hard to be different. It sounds very odd.
My first thought is of the psychiatrist from Twin Peaks (a cult classic TV show from the late 90’s), but I do think that I like it. It’s cute while still being serious, if that makes sense.
I like [name]Jacoby[/name]. Which is strange, because it seems like exactly the kind of name I would hate, preferring the more classic [name]Jacob[/name]. I also like Jacobis (which has the same emphasis on the long “o” as [name]Jacoby[/name]).
My brother’s middle name is [name]Jacob[/name], and he’s always gone by [name]Jacob[/name] (his first name is after my dad, and we all think it’s pretty horrible). Still, growing up in the 80s and 90s with [name]Jacob[/name] as your name was pretty annoying, too, so he always joked he was going to change his name to [name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Racer[/name] LastName.
I’ve grown up thinking of my brother as a [name]Jacoby[/name], so it has this very cool vibe for me.
