Jacqueline vs. Lilly?

Cannot decide between these two names. I love [name]Jacqueline[/name], not a fan of [name]Jackie[/name], would prefer using the nickname [name]Jax[/name]/Jacks or no nickname.

Then, I also love [name]Lilly[/name] (spelled this way) but I think it may be in overkill drive right now. [name]Will[/name] it be the next decades [name]Jennifer[/name]/[name]Tracey[/name]?

Having such difficulty choosing!

Any input about either name would be helpful!

I really dislike [name]Jacqueline[/name], it just sounds chavvy to me, so does the nickname [name]Jackie[/name]. I think it will be hard to avoid nicknames wit this name as it is quite long. [name]Lilly[/name] however is beautiful, and I have only heard of one [name]Lilly[/name] in my life (but I am in the UK, perhaps it is more popular in the US?) So I would say go for [name]Lilly[/name] as it’s much prettier and more feminine, and you might want to bear in mind that your little [name]Jacqueline[/name] may naturally get called [name]Jackie[/name] when she gets to school, or she may even choose the nickname herself, so if you really don’t like it it might be a good idea to not use [name]Jacqueline[/name].
[name]Hope[/name] I helped

I don’t like [name]Lilly[/name] because I’ve met quite a lot of them. I’ve only ever met one girl named [name]Jacqueline[/name] and I went to high school with her. She went by [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Lyn[/name] whenever she used a nn but most people just called her by her full name.

I think [name]Jax[/name] is a very cute nn! I would definitely go with [name]Jacqueline[/name].

I feel like these names are totally different styles. You have diverse taste. I like [name]Lilly[/name] spelled with two l’s in the middle much more than with one (probably because i see [name]Lily[/name] more often.) I don’t love [name]Jacqueline[/name], but what about the nn [name]Lena[/name]/[name]Lina[/name]? It feels similar to [name]Lilly[/name], but you could use [name]Jacqueline[/name] as the birth certificate name.

I love [name]Jacquline[/name]! It s so elegant. [name]Lily[/name] is pretty, but there are tons of them.

I personally don’t rate [name]Jacqueline[/name]. It’s seen as a lower-class, middle-aged woman’s name here in the UK. [name]Lilly[/name] is pretty but I agree a bit overused. Could you unite these two names with [name]Lillian[/name]? Or a less popular twist on [name]Lilly[/name] like [name]Lilia[/name], [name]Lilias[/name], or a name that can have nn [name]Lilly[/name] like [name]Leilani[/name]?

[name]Both[/name] names are lovely, and while I love [name]Lilly[/name] more (or, rather, [name]Lily[/name], in my case), it’s so popular, so I’d love to see a little [name]Jacqueline[/name].

I like [name]Lilly[/name] more. Besides the fact that [name]Lily[/name] is one of my personal favorites, I just don’t see the appeal in [name]Jacqueline[/name]. With my American accent, it just sounds so clunky. :*( And every single [name]Jacqueline[/name]/[name]Jacquelyn[/name] I have ever known has always been [name]Jackie[/name]. Besides, I love the soft, sweet, floral [name]Lilly[/name]–I know there are a lot of them, but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of hearing the name!

Good luck!

[name]Jacqueline[/name] is very dated but pretty (I imagine very graceful 70 year old grandmas when I hear it) Im a fan of [name]Lilian[/name]/[name]Lillian[/name]/[name]Liliane[/name] too but I do think it’s this generations [name]Jennifer[/name]. If youre concerned with popularity then I would go with [name]Jacqueline[/name]
