What is your opinion of Jadie? Is it too different or made up sounding? Jadie [name]Grace[/name] [name]Paterson[/name]. Or any other suggestions for the middle name?
It doesn’t really sound too different or made up, but just too nicknamey. I think everyone would assume she is a [name]Jade[/name] or [name]Jada[/name] nn’d Jadie. I see why [name]Jade[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is choppy rhythm, you could do [name]Jada[/name] [name]Grace[/name], I like that much better, or even [name]Jade[/name] [name]Gracie[/name]. I don’t love [name]Gracie[/name] as a full form of [name]Grace[/name] (same issue with Jadie/[name]Jade[/name]), but in the middle it matters less. I also would like [name]Grace[/name] Jadie better.
PS I’ll add there’s nothing really wrong with Jadie, it’s just not my style. And that’s mainly for the reason above, I would be annoyed with that happening, people assuming my name was a nickname. But there’s no huge reason not to do it or anything. It does make me think of JD, the term for a lawyer’s degree.
You might like [name]Sadie[/name] - while that’s traditionally a nn for [name]Sarah[/name] (and being a big conservative, I prefer that), it’s become pretty well established as a name in its own right and I doubt people would assume she had another “full name”.
I think it sounds to juvenile to stand as a full name on it’s own. [name]Jade[/name] or [name]Jada[/name] will age better and you can still call her Jadie.
I know a girl naned Jadey, pronounced the same way, and somehow that sounds less nicknamey. [name]Do[/name] you like that?
