I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u]. I know a very intelligent, pretty girl called this and I always liked her name.
I pronounce them differently. Jaisey I pronounced with a z. Rhymes with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f].
[name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] I pronounced with an S sound. Rhymes with [name_u]Stacey[/name_u].
Personally I would spell it [name_u]Jacey[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] but for some reason I’m stuck on having an I in there. Maybe it’s just a weird quirk of mine or maybe I’m just being weird.
[name_u]Jacey[/name_u] or Jasey
I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] or Jasey- easy to spell (it’s just [name_u]Casey[/name_u] with a ‘J’) and it looks quite nice. I pronounce [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] and Jaisey differently- [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] like [name_u]Casey[/name_u] with a ‘J’, and Jaisey like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] with a ‘J’.
I like [name_u]Jacie[/name_u] - lol!
I do know a little girl named [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] though!
I prefer [name_u]Josie[/name_u].
Jaisey makes me say it with a z. [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] is better imo. But I like [name_u]Jacie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] the best.
Me, too. And whenever I see [name_u]Jaycee[/name_u] (as in [name_u]Jaycee[/name_u] Dugard) I pronounce it like the initials J.C.
I’m tempted to just toss alternate spellings into a hat and just pick. I tried to tell my boyfriend Jaisey is basically pronounced like the rapped [name_u]Jay[/name_u]-z but he says no. I also like [name_u]Jacie[/name_u] or I’d even settle for Jasey at this point.
I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] best. If I had to choose between the two you asked about, I would pick [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f]. But it looks a little made up to me. I think it’s the “y.” Maybe [name_u]Jacie[/name_u]? I think it’s one of those names that are a modern invention, so I guess there’s no “traditional” spelling. I say just pick what you like, but do your kid a favor and make it somewhat intuitive.
I prefer Jaycie spelling. The Jaisey spelling could cause pronunciation problems (could be pronounced like Daisy). I prefer the Jacey spelling but I think the that Jaycie spelling is very clear pronunciation wise. Jacie is also intuitive pronunciation wise. I like both choices but it seems you lean more towards Jaycie. Jacie is a little more streamlined and pleasing to the eye IMO.
I spelled it [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] because I remember a girl in my class had that name and it just kind of has always stuck in my mind. For some reason again its the I and idk if its just a weird thing I have or what. I’m starting to lean more towards [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] since her last name has an I in it so it’s a good compromise, but he’s stubborn and since I picked her middle name I feel partially like he should have his spelling.
I agree with [name_u]Jacey[/name_u]! Or maybe even [name_f]Jacy[/name_f], like [name_f]Macy[/name_f], although, for some reason, [name_f]Jacy[/name_f] makes me see “racy”, while [name_f]Macy[/name_f] wouldn’t have? I’m not sure why. [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] or [name_f]Jacy[/name_f] for me.
I’m leaning more towards [name_u]Jacey[/name_u]. I didn’t realize how hard naming our daughter would be! It’s so difficult when you have two people who have to both agree on something.
I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u], [name_u]Jacie[/name_u], [name_f]Jacy[/name_f]…I think all yours work fine but for her sake, it should be easy to explain when she gets asked how to spell it (which she will). I have to agree with the others that your boyfriend’s spelling is going to create a headache for your daughter. Does he want her to go through life saying “It’s [name_u]Jacey[/name_u]! Not Jayzee! It’s an S sound! It rhymes with [name_f]Macy[/name_f], not [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]!” --because that’s what Jaisey is going to do.
Hmm. I like [name_u]Jacey[/name_u] best, but I always like ie endings, so I do like [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] a lot too. [name_u]Jacie[/name_u] is nice too. Those would be my top 3 for you! I’m glad you aren’t into the ee ending, it isn’t my favorite.
Personally, I like the [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] pronunciation more than the Jaisie one. [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] (rhyming with [name_u]Stacy[/name_u]) is uncommon but fairly familiar, but Jaisie (rhyming with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]) is very unusual so you might have to correct people a lot. I don’t know, [name_f]Jaycie[/name_f] just feels sweeter, even though they’re both cute.
I have a friend who had parents named [name_m]Jason[/name_m] and [name_f]Cindy[/name_f] so they took the first two letters of their names and said “[name_f]Jaci[/name_f]”.
I know someone named [name_u]Jaycee[/name_u] and I like the way it is spelled, I prefer it that way the most.
