I adore [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I feel neutral about [name_u]James[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] sounds good with brother [name_m]William[/name_m] “[name_m]Will[/name_m]”.
We have a [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and it’s just such a great name (I’m biased). I love [name_u]James[/name_u], too, but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is my favorite.
If the brother wasn’t called [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] I would pick [name_m]Henry[/name_m] but brothers called [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] remind me way to much of the Princes since [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Harry[/name_m]'s real name (especially if your name is [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]). So I’d pick [name_u]James[/name_u], both names are lovely though and in [name_u]America[/name_u] it may not be too much of a problem, I actually know twins named [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] so they make a great set of brothers.
Both are perfect names. I voted for [name_u]James[/name_u].
I really like both. But I slightly prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m] with [name_m]William[/name_m].
You have beautiful taste, all your boys names are perfect and flow so well. Though I love them all, I went with [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] to match brother [name_m]Will[/name_m]. Would love o know what you would have gone for if you had a girl?
I like your classic choices. While [name_u]James[/name_u] is lovely and you can’t go wrong, I prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
Your comment is my only concern with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! Yes my name is [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and I don’t want comments on our names being too royal hence leaning towards [name_u]James[/name_u] even though I prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Unsure whether to choose the name I prefer or the name that isn’t know as being so ‘royal’ (even though [name_u]James[/name_u] too is a royal name) - difficult!
Thank you! We don’t know the gender so if it is a girl we have shortlisted [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] & [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. Cannot seem to make a choice between the 3!
With [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], you might also get asked if you’re a fan of the author, so maybe another point to consider…
I prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m] to [name_u]James[/name_u] as a first name, but find [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] a bit odd as a combination since it’s the name of an author. If [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] was an option I would have voted for it. You might get a few comments on the Princes [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Harry[/name_m] thing, but a lot of people (who aren’t into names) don’t know that [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is a form of [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or don’t make the connection, and/or don’t know that [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is actually [name_m]Henry[/name_m], so it probably wouldn’t be a huge problem. [name_u]James[/name_u] is a royal name too but as there’s no high-profile royal today with the first name [name_u]James[/name_u], the connection is less obvious and again, not something everyone would make.
This is a tough choice for me. I love [name_u]James[/name_u], I really do, but the popularity of it really puts me off so I’ve relegated it to a middle name. I also love [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and have considered [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] myself with the nickname [name_m]Jed[/name_m]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] I also love, just not quite so much as [name_u]James[/name_u], it’s familiar but nowhere near as common as [name_u]James[/name_u] which tempts me into choosing that. I don’t envy your choice here! Either will go great with your other son’s name.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] could be an option. Thank you!
Thank you & I agree [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are both great names!
Yes thank you! I’m not worried about that as [name_u]James[/name_u] will be the middle name & not surname.
I like [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] as middle names. Here are some suggestions to go with [name_m]William[/name_m].
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Richard[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
All beautiful as well though I don’t envy you having to choose out of the three girls names either. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a great middle name, it complements just about everything.
3 of your suggestions are already immediate family names but thank you! I love [name_m]Archibald[/name_m] “[name_m]Archie[/name_m]” [name_u]James[/name_u] but my husband (unfortunately for me) cannot get there.
Thank you! [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is a family name - my middle name, mothers middle name, grandmothers middle name & great grandmothers so very easy to choose.
