Jamison?

What do you guys think of the name [name]Jamison[/name]? Middle name would be [name]David[/name]. I like [name]Jamison[/name] but I dont like [name]Jamie[/name] as a nickname. What other nicknames could go with [name]Jamison[/name]? I thought about JD with middle name [name]David[/name] but not sure I like it. Also I kinda like the spelling “[name]Jameson[/name]” better but I’m pretty sure “[name]Jamison[/name]” is the original spelling.

Well, just [name]James[/name] could be a nn. [name]Sonny[/name] maybe. I like [name]Jamison[/name], though it makes me think of whiskey.

[name]Jameson[/name] is the spelling of the whiskey. Either makes me think of it. I’m not sure one is more original than the other. All the [name]James[/name] nicknames could apply, [name]Jay[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Jim[/name], [name]Jem[/name], [name]Jago[/name], [name]Jimmy[/name]. Good luck!

I actually thoght [name]Jameson[/name] was the proper spelling but maybe I’m wrong. Definitely prefer the [name]Jameson[/name] spelling anyway. Lot’s of great nn potential and spunkier than just [name]James[/name], yet less common than [name]Jackson[/name].

A great name choice and the combo of [name]Jamison[/name] [name]David[/name] is lovely. For a nn possibly [name]Jay[/name] would fit, it is the nn I sometimes call my [name]Jacquelyn[/name].

I think either spelling is too alcoholic for a first name. What’s wrong with [name]James[/name]?

All I think of is the whisky. [name]James[/name] is lovely though.

I like [name]Jameson[/name] fine except I think of Whiskey and the only [name]Jameson[/name] I met was a girl >.<

I like [name]Jameson[/name] spelled this way. I actually know of two [name]Jameson[/name]'s - both boys. I think it is a very handsome name, especially with [name]David[/name] as the mn. I like [name]Jay[/name] for a nn, as [name]Rollo[/name] suggested.

The only [name]Jameson[/name] or [name]Jamison[/name] I know of is a girl too. I don’t like it really. I actually prefer it as a girls name because it seems to be a stretch of over redundancy for a boys name. I just prefer [name]James[/name] for a boy.

I am a little shocked to hear that some people have heard of [name]Jameson[/name] being used for a girl! I think it is so handsome, the modern day version of [name]James[/name] like [name]Jackson[/name] is for [name]Jack[/name]. And whisky that is something I know nothing about but it wouldn’t deter me using it anyway.

rollo

I have only seen [name]Jameson[/name] once, it was the name of a man I worked with… His father’s name was [name]James[/name] so he was [name]Jameson[/name] (son of [name]James[/name])… I love it with [name]David[/name] I think its very masculine and handsome… I’ve been to the [name]Jameson[/name] Distillery and it still doesn’t make me think of the alcohol… I have a brother named [name]James[/name] and I always thought it would be so adorable if when he had children he named a son [name]Jameson[/name]…

I absolutely love [name]James[/name], but [name]Jameson[/name] is not my fav. You dont have to have a nickname. [name]Just[/name] call him [name]Jameson[/name].
