Jane / Janie / Janey

I really love the nn [name]Janie[/name] - what does everyone else think of it?

I’ve always dismissed it as a name because I don’t particularly like nn’s as full names and [name]Jane[/name] is too plain to me (it is also my middle name).

What else could [name]Janie[/name] be a nn for? Does anyone think it could stand on it’s own as a name?

Thanks guys!

[name]Jane[/name] is a little plain I agree. I really love [name]Janelle[/name] you can use all the nn’s you love with the name.

Yeah I had thought of [name]Janelle[/name] but I’m not sure about that either.

It’s not really fitting with the other kinds of names I like and also I loooove [name]Mirabelle[/name] so couldn’t have another elle ending name with it really.

Thanks for the idea though!

i don’t find [name]Jane[/name] plain anymore. no one really uses it anymore. its just classic.

[name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong I do think it’s a lovely name, but most of the girls names I like are longer and frillier like [name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Angelica[/name], [name]Rosalia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] etc, and [name]Jane[/name] just seems too simple paired with those so I need something that would match better.

I’ve been searching nameberry and found the following, what do you all think of them?:

[name]January[/name]
[name]Janica[/name]
[name]Jana[/name]

[name]Janie[/name] is adorable! I think [name]January[/name] is super cute, though I would nickname it [name]Jani[/name] ([name]JAN[/name]-ee) rather than [name]Janie[/name] ([name]JANE[/name]-ee), but [name]Janie[/name] would probably work as well. [name]Jana[/name] feels a bit plain to me, and [name]Janica[/name] sounds made up, unfortunately. You could always go with a double-barrel name, like [name]Jane[/name]-[name]Alice[/name] (I know one [name]IRL[/name]), though that sounds like it’s probably not really your style.

I love [name]January[/name]!

[name]January[/name] would be my pick…but I still love [name]Jane[/name] as well…are you considering it at all?

[name]Janie[/name] is cute. [name]January[/name] is not a name; what about [name]Genevieve[/name] or [name]Ginevra[/name]? [name]Juniper[/name] or [name]Jessamine[/name] could even work too.
