[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!
I have been liking [name_f]Jane[/name_f] lately. I would like some opinions. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Jane[/name_f], or is it plain/boring?
What do you think of these combos, which one is your favorite?
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is classic, strong, intelligent and practical. I love it w/[name_f]Allegra[/name_f]. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]–great balance & flow!
I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. My favorite combos that you listed are [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] so much more as a first name than a middle. It’s become a filler name as a middle, but it’s nice to see it as a first name.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] is my favourite, followed closely by [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], haven’t heard it very often, but it’s on my list for a first name, nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] too! We are weeks away from having our baby girl, but we are concerned with the nick name Plain [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Anyways, I digress. My favorites are [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f].
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] is a great connection- she’s one of my favourite authors.
[name_f]Love[/name_f]:
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]- frilly, feminine and flowery in the best way
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]- lovely and lilting but substantial
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]- both vintage and medieval, it has a gorgeous quiet beauty
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]- girly and pink and princessy. I think of the ballerina [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f]- great contrast of [name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s beauty-in-a-little-package and long, dramatic [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] that lets it all out
Like:
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]- sounds nice, but [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] was [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u]'s older sister so I find this a bit odd. But not everyone would make the connection
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], but it doesn’t “pop” enough to make [name_f]Jane[/name_f] more interesting
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f]- pretty and flows well, but doesn’t stand out]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f]- I find this a bit sing-songy with the two “an” sounds
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]- very pretty, but not as magical as some others
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]- love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], but it seems a bit overwhelming with [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (though why [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] doesn’t I don’t know!)
Dislike:
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]- I find [name_f]Colette[/name_f] rather dull and plain
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], but it feels a bit too clunky here
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]- [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] doesn’t make [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sparkle
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]- I feel like they’re too different stylistically- [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] steals all the attention rather than complementing [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Anthea[/name_f]- I find [name_f]Anthea[/name_f] too clunky, sorry
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Althea[/name_f]- not a fan of [name_f]Althea[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Elinor[/name_f]- love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but not with [name_f]Jane[/name_f]- too grounded which [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is already, she needs something livelier!
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Calista[/name_f]- same as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
My favourites from your list are [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f]. My favourite [name_f]Jane[/name_f] combo ever though is [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f].
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is sweet, simple, and lovely. I highly doubt a young [name_f]Jane[/name_f] would get ‘plain [name_f]Jane[/name_f]’ these days. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is understated, which I find refreshing. The popular names right now are all frills - [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], etc. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] sounds like she has nothing to prove.
That said, my husband’s last name is a boring, two-syllable, classic British name. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] doesn’t wow me in that combination, so I wouldn’t use her. But she can be stunning with some last names.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Calista[/name_f] jumped out at me! That is an incredible combo. I love it! In my opinion, however, [name_f]Jane[/name_f] serves better as a middle name. I know it is often used as a filler, but I think that it works best in a name with two middles. Looking at your middle name suggestions, I think [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] is stunning.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a simple name yet very beautiful and classic.
My favorites:
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - I was actually going to suggest this before I saw it on your list.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Elinor[/name_f]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a beautiful, classic name. I classify it with [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_m]John[/name_m].
I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. It was a combo I had when I was younger, in high school. I always dreamed I would have daughters named [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
