I like [name_f]Noriko[/name_f], nn [name_u]Nori[/name_u]. Went to school with a girl with this name.

The only name I know of is Miyako nn [name_f]Miya[/name_f] (pronounced Mee-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-ko). I don’t know anything about the history of it’s use - the context I know it in is a youtube vlogger family who have a daughter named Miyako (their channel is called itsJudysLife).

I like [name_u]Winter[/name_u] best, between [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]Erina[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]'s adorable, and I like that there’s a Japanese connection, too. My favorite Japanese names are [name_f]Amaya[/name_f], [name_f]Hana[/name_f], and [name_u]Mio[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Emi[/name_f], too.

My baby cousin is [name_f]Aya[/name_f], pronounced like [name_f]Kaya[/name_f] or [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. It means colorful in Japanese.

I love [name_f]Emi[/name_f] or Emiko and [name_f]Mei[/name_f].
Hotaru
[name_f]Kaori[/name_f]
[name_f]Sakura[/name_f]
[name_f]Keiko[/name_f]
[name_f]Chihiro[/name_f]
[name_f]Kimiko[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Erina[/name_f] is pretty!

My favorites would be [name_f]Amaya[/name_f] or [name_u]Akira[/name_u].

I’ve always really liked Asami and Mayu. A Japanese-English family I’m friends with have two daughters named [name_f]Mya[/name_f] and [name_f]Hana[/name_f] Hitomi. Another winter-theme name in Japanese (you might already know it) is [name_u]Yuki[/name_u], which means snow. The name Miyuki is another variant which can mean deep snow or beautiful snow.

Out of the two choices, I like [name_f]Erina[/name_f], very pretty!

[name_f]Chihiro[/name_f] is Japanese. Her daughter is named [name_f]Reina[/name_f], but the daughter is only half Japanese so I can’t be sure about that name being Japanese.

[name_f]Aya[/name_f] is gorgeous and super easy for English-speakers to say. Other favorites are Izumi, Eriko ([name_f]Erina[/name_f] is also lovely), Takiko, and [name_m]Aki[/name_m]. Others I like that transition easily from Japanese to English are [name_f]Mari[/name_f], [name_f]Mei[/name_f], and [name_f]Rin[/name_f]/[name_u]Ren[/name_u].

My favourite japanese girl name ever is [name_u]Yuki[/name_u] (meaning snow, if I remember correctly?). Perhaps unfamiliar, but I think the pronunciation is simple enough it can work in english.

[name_f]Mei[/name_f] - my name, so I’m biased. Pronounced exactly like [name_f]May[/name_f] so english speakers will have no problem.
[name_f]Sachi[/name_f] - meaning happiness. One berry has a daughter named [name_f]Sachi[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (she’s half japanese), but I don’t think I see her here anymore.
Hikari - though I’m afraid people will probably confuse it with [name_u]Hillary[/name_u]? I am not sure. I found this name in an old manga I read and instantly liked it.
[name_f]Kimiko[/name_f]/[name_f]Kimi[/name_f]
[name_f]Sakura[/name_f]
[name_m]Yuri[/name_m]

I voted [name_f]Erina[/name_f], btw. I adore [name_u]Winter[/name_u], but not the biggest fan of Fuyu, sorry.

Some lovely suggestions

My favourite is [name_f]Noa[/name_f]! I think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I also like [name_f]Mei[/name_f], [name_u]Mika[/name_u], [name_u]Ren[/name_u] and [name_u]Rio[/name_u].
