Let’s talk about [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about it? Would it work on a baby born during 2016? My husband suggested it for our baby, and while I think it’s unexpected I also think it’s a nice name that sounds lovely with our surname. But maybe it’s too weird or too associated with [name_u]Tony[/name_u] [name_m]Stark[/name_m] and the Avengers?
What middle name would you pair it with?
In having a hard time liking [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m], I’m not sure why. I do know someone with [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] as their last name. I think -vis sound is conjuring up some negative associations. Anyway how’s:

[name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] could definitely work. I think the Avengers association makes it feel familiar, especially to the younger generations.
iipostmvh; I like [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], it’s my husband’s middle name though so probably not going to happen. Haha I wish my husband had uglier names, I really like both his names ([name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]) but neither one of us wants a jr. 
southern.maple; Yeah, I thought so too, but at the same time I don’t want to choose a name that forever will be associated with a movie/book/etc. I guess [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] is still better than…say [name_m]Anakin[/name_m] or [name_m]Frodo[/name_m].
I know a little [name_m]Anakin[/name_m] and I actually like [name_m]Anakin[/name_m] more than [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m]. Not that I don’t like [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m]. [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] is a cute name and definetely usuable, I just wouldn’t be quick to say it is ‘better than’ they are in the same realm to me.
I really like [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and he wouldn’t technically be a [name_m]Jr[/name_m] if he had the same middle as his father. We didn’t want a [name_m]Jr[/name_m] either but one of my sons has my husbands first name as his middle.
I would pair [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] with a more traditional middle name:

I immediately thought Iron [name_m]Man[/name_m], but it isn’t a bad name
I am also having a pretty hard time liking it. The Avengers connection is pretty obvious and it’s just not a super flattering name for a baby.

It’s still very early on in the pregnancy, but I feel like [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] might be “it” even though we just started discussing it. [name_m]Will[/name_m] probably change my mind a hundred times though. And [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m] wouldn’t be that cute on a girl, either so…
