[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!
I have recently fallen in love with the name [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. I love the sound (I love names that start with J for some reason), I love the look, its easy pronunciation, the fact it has history and has some religious connection (the [name_f]Magi[/name_f]/the Wise Men). It has a name day which is totally a bonus. But, as an avid reader, I realize it has Twilight connections (I read all the books, horrible btw). The fact that the name is in Twilight doesn’t bother me, but I’m worried that other people will immediately think of that (he wasn’t really a bad character, but…). Anyway, what do you think of when you think of [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].
For [name_f]Esme[/name_f] (or Esmé) I wouldn’t use it as a first name anyway, so I wouldn’t have a Jasper and an Esme. It wouldn’t translate well into Greek, which is a big negative for me. But I’m really starting to like the sound of it. The meaning is lovely. I’m really loving it as a middle for [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. So, too strong of a connection to Twilight? Is that what you think of when you think of [name_f]Esme[/name_f]? Is it a big deal if it is in the middle anyway?
[name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] [name_m]Meyer[/name_m] was a great namer, I have to admit. She had [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] (all beautiful imo). I know with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], the connections are not as strong as with [name_f]Renesmee[/name_f] (is that how it is spelled?) or [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or even [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think she has tainted/made too strong connections to any other Twilight names?
