I taught for decades and I met a handful of both.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] remaines to me two wonderful dogs - a Husky then and a [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] now, as well as [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the Grouch, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] de la Renta, and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the slob on The Odd Couple. So while it is fine, I don’t gravitate toward it except for dogs.
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u] is a beautiful stone and I absolutely love this name. I called my beloved cattle dog this name.

I prefer [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], it feels more nature-y and down to earth, plus it has some special meaning to me.
