What is the impression of the name [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] in other countries other than the US? And in the US I guess. How popular and what’s the feel.
I am in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] and I think of [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_f]Alberta[/name_f] . It’s stunning .
I only know 1 [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and he is a real sweetie
I’m in the UK and it feels “unexpected but familiar” here - it’s been growing in popularity and I have encountered a couple of little Jaspers, but not an overwhelming number. Others seem to react to it with gentle surprise and intrigue, but in a good way? I have heard a few mentions of [name_m]Twilight[/name_m] but not too many. I think of the gemstone
I have met a couple of little Jaspers in the UK too. Most people are quite familiar with it and it always seems to get a positive reaction.
I’m in the US, and I feel like it isn’t popular at all! I’ve never met a [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] of any age and I’m in the midwest. I love the name. I think it has a vintage feel and for some reason reminds me of [name_f]Disney[/name_f] character. It’s always been high on my list but my husband said it sounds like a villains name
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is gorgeous
I’m in the UK and I think here [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] would feel unexpected but familiar. I wouldn’t be surprised to come across a [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and I have met a few Jasper’s I work with a woman who has two children named Jasp3r and Evi3 which I think is such a sweet sibling set the name feels very in keeping with current naming trends.
He’s one of the bad guys in 101 Dalmatians!
In [name_m]Oz[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is seen as a winsome, handsome boy name, from at least a fairly wealthy and/or artistic background. Would have a brother called [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is fairly unheard of in my opinion here in the UK, but I feel like it has moved from dated into trendy…it gives me both [name_m]Tudor[/name_m] and Victorian vibes. I’ve met Casper/Caspar and [name_m]Jesper[/name_m] (yes-per) but never a [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. It feels classic but fresh. I also associate it with [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] - so beautiful nature, the gemstone and the twilight character.
I’m in the US. I love [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. I have never met a [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].
The feel is something like .
I live in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] and my 3 year old son is named [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], never met another one in my life though!
I’m in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] and I think of it as an uncommon but really nice name. I mainly think of the stone as an association with the name. I don’t know any Jaspers, apart from one dog!
It has a sort of naturey and historic feel, I think.
