Jaxsyn 4 a girl!

I’m 17 and expecting. I chose not to find out the gender but i like the unisex name tend. what r your opinions of Jaxsyn 4 a girl :?:

[name]Jackson[/name] is a boy’s name. Jaxsyn is taking a boy’s name and making it into a stripper’s name. I know you’re only 17, but you’ve got to think about that fact that you’re naming the woman your daughter will one day be.

A STRIPPER??? WHAT THE HECK! :x

There’s nothing wrong with liking unisex names and choosing one for your child, however [name]Jackson[/name] isn’t a unisex name, no matter how much you butcher the spelling. Try to avoid anything with a -son ending, actually, except [name]Allison[/name] I guess. What about the name [name]Jordan[/name], a classically unisex name?

Jaxsyn isn’t my thing, but I have a couple suggestions for you.

[name]Rory[/name]
[name]Addison[/name]
[name]Peyton[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name]
[name]Riley[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name](if you’re a little more daring)
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Mason[/name] (I know a little girl named [name]Macyn[/name])
[name]Scout[/name]

Good luck!

I definitely get a stripper vibe from ‘Jaxsyn’. You’ll regret it, and your daughter will not appreciate it.

[name]Jackson[/name] (Jaxsyn) is nto my personal taste for names-for a boy or a girl. And to be honest, even though you spell it Jaxsyn, which does feminize the spelling of the name, it will be pronounced [name]Jackson[/name], which is a male name. Now, if you really love it, go for it. However i see alot of blue nametags instead of pink, if you catch my drift because that is just one of those names where i dont think anyone, or very few, will have heard of it for a girl. Now there are other real unisex names such as [name]Ryan[/name], [name]Dylan[/name], [name]Addison[/name], [name]Finley[/name], [name]Drew[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Madison[/name] (believe it or not), [name]Quinn[/name], and so on and so forth that are unisex names that are know equally (or almost equally) for each gender, especially now. Also, just my opinon, if you want a unisex name, i think you should have a very pretty feminine middle name (unless you had one picked out). Good [name]Luck[/name]!

Oh and (if youdont mind me asking), when are you due? And what boys names are you considering?

Take Care

Sorry, I’m not a fan either. I like unisex names too. I’m just not a fan of all the 'y’s being inserted in them. [name]Jackson[/name], [name]Jacksen[/name], [name]Jaxson[/name], [name]Jacksen[/name] all seem a better to me.

I’m not going to bash your choice of name, I’m just going to say that it is extremely popular for boys and that it doesn’t look entirely professional. If I saw Jaxsyn written on paper, I would definitely assume it was a boy. This may not seem to be a problem, but it can be- I’ve even heard of women with unisex names getting draft notices. I also can’t see it on a professional, adult woman, and people do judge others based on their name. It’s wrong, they shouldn’t, but they do, just as many judge others based on appearance or age. I’d love to give you suggestions for alternatives- are there any other names you like, or any particular style of name you’re looking for? I think [name]Quinn[/name] is a great alternative if you like unisex names.

*I forgot to mention- [name]Jackson[/name] (the original spelling) means “son of [name]Jack[/name]”- I don’t know if that matters to you.

If you love [name]Jackson[/name], I’d use [name]Jackson[/name]. Not [name]Jaxon[/name], Jaxyn or Jaxsyn. The fact that the name is spelt differently than [name]Jackson[/name] does not make it any different than [name]Jackson[/name]. However, I can’t recommend naming a daughter [name]Jackson[/name]. It’s traditionally a boys name and it’s a common name for boys, therefore it’s not unisex, it’s a boys name. If you’re interested in unisex names some to consider are [name]Presley[/name], [name]Cadence[/name], [name]Kendall[/name], [name]Reagan[/name], [name]Berkley[/name], [name]Harper[/name], [name]Sheridan[/name], [name]Larkin[/name], [name]Madigan[/name], [name]Arden[/name], [name]Kerrigan[/name], [name]Waverly[/name], [name]Teagan[/name], or [name]London[/name].

Or, if you want to be a trend-setter you could use a vintage name with a boyish nickname. Like [name]Willa[/name] nn [name]Willie[/name] or [name]Billie[/name], [name]Winifred[/name] nn [name]Freddie[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Louisa[/name] nn [name]Lou[/name], [name]Frances[/name]/[name]Francesca[/name] nn [name]Frankie[/name], [name]Georgia[/name] nn [name]George[/name]/[name]Georgie[/name], [name]Jacqueline[/name] nn [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Jackie[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Leni[/name] or something more conventional like [name]Samantha[/name] nn [name]Sam[/name] or [name]Stephanie[/name] nn [name]Stevie[/name].

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

Oh and (if youdont mind me asking), when are you due? And what boys names are you considering?’
from devinjes

Im due February twenty-eighth 2011. Im not sure on the boys name thing yet. Im gonna go 1 step at a time.

Lol well thats a good idea. Are there any other girl’s names that have ben appealing to you? Also i responded to your other post, the im scared one. If you didnt see it.

Ok well firstly, congrats:) Because a baby planned or not, no matter the age, is still a beautiful gift:)

Now with pregnancy, in reality there is nothing to be scared about. Pregnancy is 100% normal and as women, we are MADE to carry and birth babies. It is a natural thing for us, just like the natural ‘motherly’ feeling. Now, i would assume, what your scared of, is complications or problems. Well i can say that while you may see alot of on TV and here alot of horror stories from people, pregnancy and childbirth typically go along fine, and it is still abnormal to have pregnancy complications severe enough to actually be a worry.

At this stage in your pregnancy, almost 15 weeks i belive (my “sister” (friend) is due on the exact same day!). So, it is right along this time, probably in the next 4 weeks you will begin to feel fetal movement and really begin to ‘pop’ (have your belly grow). Also if you are worried about stretch marks, Cocoa Butter Lotion (can be bought at any drugstore for relativly cheap) applied daily will dramatically decrease if not cease stretchmarks all together. However you will as you get bigger get some lines and possibly more hair on your ‘happy trail’, and dont worry they all go away after birth. Also! This is excited! In the next month you should be able to find out the sex of the baby! Oh whoops i think i read oyu didnt want to find out, lol well anyways

Like i said, pregnancy is normal, women have ben delivering babies for centuries and will contiune to for centuries after us. There are numerous medical things that are done to prevent complications, stop them, or keep them under wraps. In todays medical day and age, technology does alot, and you have no reason to be scared. Just get a good OB (obsetrician- this is your pregnancy doctor) and have either his/her number or a nures number or a 24 hour nurses hotline to call and ask advice if you dont feel right. This is your first pregnancy, this is all new to you, and you are young, its normal to feel anxiety, and dont be affraid to call one of the numbers you have and ask advice. Everyone working with you on your pregnancy and birth plan should always be willing to help calm your nerves

Just remember that it be ok, have friends that will support you, and start reading books to help you understand what is happening (because alot of stuff that is normal, may freak you out at first and its always better to be able to look it up then worry). I wish you the best

Good Luck!

Also the other poster said it right, the worst thing about pregnancy, is stress. It can cause alot of things. So try to relax as much as possible and dont be affraid to ask questions or ask for help:)

I saw and your right. thnx!

Congratulations on your pregnancy

Jaxsyn looks a little bit cutesy to me spelled like that, and it also sounds very masculine. If you like the sound of Jaxsyn, what about something similar like [name]Jasmine[/name] or [name]Jazlyn[/name] (with the nickname [name]Jazz[/name])?

Personally, I’m not the hugest fan of most unisex names, but I understand the appeal. If you’re going for unisex names, how about:

[name]Taylor[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Riley[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]
[name]Teagan[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Hayden[/name]
[name]Skylar[/name]

I think if you are dead set on Jaxsyn…go for it. But I I do think spelling it like Jaxsyn is getting a bit too creative. I think it looks best spelled [name]Jackson[/name] or Jacksyn. Jacksyn isn’t so bad, and it does look feminine that way. Good luck

Can I offer up some of my own favorite unisex names?

[name]Monroe[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Sage[/name]
[name]Eliot[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Micah[/name]

My own name is [name]Kennedy[/name], which is growing to be a more feminine name in this country but can still be considered unisex. I absolutely love my own name, and I think it’s great idea to give your daughter a strong unisex name. My main advice is not to butcher the spelling. Spell the name in the way that seems most natural to others. I’ve seen little girls with butchered spellings of my own name ([name]Kennedee[/name], [name]Kennadie[/name]) and it only ends up looking a little ridiculous, not cute or feminine. Choose the name you love above all.

I don’t hate it, but I grew up with the name [name]Lauran[/name] [name]Leigh[/name], and though it seems feminine enough to me, there were a few instances in my life where people thought I was a boy based on my name, or didn’t know if I was a boy or a girl. I like my name just fine, and I thought these people were morons. That didn’t keep me from being annoyed by it though!

I actually really like the nicknames [name]Jac[/name] or [name]Jax[/name] for a girl, but if I were to use one of them, I would try to find a clearly feminine first name, like [name]Jacqueline[/name] (or any alternate spelling) to avoid confusion. That way if she doesn’t like being called [name]Jax[/name] or whatever, she can use her full name.

I also really like [name]Quinn[/name], [name]London[/name], [name]Riley[/name] or [name]Peyton[/name]. They’re unisex but used more often for girls, or at least evenly for boys and girls. [name]Taylor[/name], [name]Ashton[/name], [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Jordan[/name] are also definitely unisex–too popular for me to consider, but it depends on your taste. If you’re dead set on Jaxsyn, I would, at the very least, give her a clearly feminine middle name.

Jaxsyn is a misspelled boys name. If your set on using it, at least use [name]Jackson[/name].

My daughter is 4yrs old now, but I was 17 when she was conceived and 18 when she was born.
I urge you to message me if you have any questions, I’m aware of how scary and intimidating this time is.

Have you told your parents, and have you started taking prenatals? I hope you have lots of support! Best of luck.

I never checked the date, someone bumped this thread up from over a year ago…
I doubt OP even uses Nameberry anymore!
