I’ve been thinking about this name a lot recently and I’m really starting to like it.
I like that it is classic and straight forward and clearly feminine but not frilly.
I also think with names like [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] getting more attention [name_u]Jean[/name_u] could definitely make a come back.
What do you think of [name_u]Jean[/name_u]?
Can you see it making a come back in the near future?
I love [name_u]Jean[/name_u], but I would call it unisex moreso than ‘clearly feminine’. Written down it can be confused with the [name_m]French[/name_m] boy name [name_u]Jean[/name_u], and spoken it can be confused with [name_u]Gene[/name_u]. So I would pair it with a more feminine middle name, just in case.
To me it’s more unisex as well. I think [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] seems more feminine. I’m not really a fan though, I much prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or even [name_u]June[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is still alive as a middle name but I haven’t met anyone named [name_u]Jean[/name_u] under 50.
