Canonically, [name_m]Ben[/name_m] picked [name_m]Spurgeon[/name_m] and [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] picked [name_m]Elliott[/name_m], and then after their first baby, [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] went on to pick all of the babies’ first names, and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] picks the middles. So that’s why there is a disparity between the styles.
[name_f][/name_f]I am sort of disappointed in the name, honestly. It’s a fine name, but I thought it was going to slightly more interesting in terms of a middle for a boy. Everyone knows I love a good normal first name/crazy middle name combo. 
I also had high hopes that it would be a girl because I adore [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and Fern’s names. [name_m]Ah[/name_m], well, there’s always next time!
