Jessamine

[name]How[/name] exactly is this pronounced? And what are some nicknames you’ve heard?

I’ve heard it pronounced [name]JESS[/name]-a-meen; I’ve really come around to [name]Jessamine[/name] lately. I think it’s really pretty.
I don’t know anyone named [name]Jessamine[/name], and most of the times I’ve seen it, it’s as a middle name.
I do like [name]Jessa[/name] as a nickname, and [name]Mina[/name] is nice, too.

I think standard is [name]JESS[/name]-a-min, although I have heard jess-a-meen and to be honest I prefer the latter. It’s a great name either way, though. [name]Jess[/name]/[name]Jessie[/name]/[name]Jessa[/name] are the obvious nicknames, [name]Mina[/name] is lovely, and I could even see [name]Sam[/name] working.

I like [name]JESS[/name]-a-min pronounciation better… I like [name]Jessa[/name] for a nn…

[name]Jess[/name]-a-min is what I’m used to and prefer. [name]Jessamyn[/name] being the phonetic version but said the same.

[name]Jessie[/name] or [name]Minnie[/name] are what I’d probably use.

I’d have to decide if its egotistical for me to have a [name]Jessamine[/name] when I have a three-syllable J name myself, that’s the only problem with it. Maybe MN only for me, but it’s a gorgeous name and usable for other people.

I pn it as [name]Jez[/name]-a-min

I pronounce it the standard English way: “[name]JESS[/name]-a-min”. The French would pronounce it as “MEEN”. I’ve heard [name]Jessa[/name], [name]Jessie[/name] and [name]Minnie[/name] as nn choices.

Thanks everyone! I’m really crushing on [name]Jessamine[/name] lately and I really like the nn [name]Jess[/name] or [name]Jessa[/name]. I want to say it [name]Jess[/name]-a-meen but I understand [name]Jess[/name]-a-min too.

Does anyone have any combo suggestions?
