I donât really like it, I donât know why it just doesnât seem like a name to me.
[name_f]My[/name_f] only association is the father in law of [name_u]Moses[/name_u]. However it does sound a little like âdeath rowâ which is slightly off putting
Expected brother namesâŚBoaz, [name_u]Zephaniah[/name_u], [name_m]Zebedee[/name_m], [name_m]Enoch[/name_m], [name_u]Seth[/name_u], [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Abraham[/name_m], [name_m]Asriel[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], [name_m]Joel[/name_m], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], [name_m]Mordecai[/name_m], [name_m]Absalom[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_m]Obed[/name_m]
I like Jethro!! He seems very like vintage-cowboy-chic to me, and feels very southern flair-y.
If I had to name a brother to [name_m]Jethro[/name_m], I would pick⌠(mostly other cowboy/southern-ish names!!)
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_u]Montgomery[/name_u]
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Boone[/name_m]
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_m]Angus[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Dustin[/name_u]
[name_u]Pierce[/name_u]
It does! I knew it sounded like something but couldnât put my finger on what
I absolutely love [name_m]Jethro[/name_m], I think of the guy off of NCIS when I hear it, I also get southern vibes.
[name_u]Montgomery[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_u]Bridger[/name_u]

[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] always makes me think of the band [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] [name_m]Tull[/name_m], which I think must have been one that my dad talked about. I couldnât tell you anything about them, so itâs a totally neutral association. A quick Google just taught me that they were named after an 18th century agriculturalist by that name
I donât know if itâs a biblical name, but I might expect a brother of [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] to be named [name_u]Elijah[/name_u], [name_u]Amos[/name_u] or [name_m]Jabez[/name_m]. I also might expect a [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] to have siblings with more modern âcoolâ names like [name_m]Bram[/name_m] and well, erm [name_u]Beck[/name_u] to stick with the musical theme!
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is such an unusual combination of sounds, I wouldnât use it myself but it would be very interesting indeed to meet a little [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]!
I love [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]!
One of my dadâs friends is called [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. He is such a great guy. Funny, bright and caring. I only have good associations with the name.
I feel like a brother for [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] would be:
[name_u]Lyle[/name_u]
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]
[name_m]Jarvis[/name_m]
[name_u]Leland[/name_u]
[name_m]Byron[/name_m]
[name_u]Selby[/name_u]
[name_m]Norman[/name_m]
[name_m]Haskell[/name_m]
[name_m]Fraser[/name_m]
I know two little boys named [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. Itâs not a name I loved off the bat, despite the positive biblical association, but Iâve grown to like it because of the ones I know. One family calls their son [name_u]Jet[/name_u], which is fun.
Possible brother names:
Abram/Bram
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]
Sylvan/Sylvanus
[name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]
[name_u]Peregrine[/name_u]
Jethro has a cool, edgy feel - itâs got a slightly American vibe, biblical and outdoorsy, but also a bit rock and roll?
I think Iâd expect brothers to be:
Jethro andâŚ
Sylas
Holden
Shepherd
Zakkai
Malachi
Elias
Beckett
I donât like it it sounds like someone casually saying âDid you throw up?ââ âJethro up?â
I donât really have any associations. It is a nice name I suppose. I would nickname a [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] âJayâ and I would name him [name_m]Bram[/name_m], [name_u]Holden[/name_u] or [name_m]Johan[/name_m]. Generally is not really my style but I like it for others. It is a nice name though, again.
I think [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] is a fun name! To me, it has a country vibe with historical undertones and of course itâs in the bible so [name_u]Christian[/name_u] connections too. I think of the agricultural revolution figure [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] [name_m]Tull[/name_m], after whom the band was named. I named one of my old drakes (male ducks) [name_m]Jethro[/name_m]. I would expect Jethroâs brother to have a classic or vintage feeling name or another bible name - maybe a less common one.
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_m]Rufus[/name_m]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_m]Otto[/name_m]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_u]Clarence[/name_u]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_u]Ezra[/name_u]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_m]Abel[/name_m]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m] & [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
It sounds too similar to death row which feels like a negative connotation to the name
