Hi Berries!
I discovered the name Jex today and I love it! It’s an English surname derived from Jacques. I love how short and energetic it is. I also love that it’s a surname because names like that are some of my personal favorites (Ex: Callahan, Arlington, Wilde, Calhoun, Prescott, etc). I was just wondering what you all think of the name. Leave me your thoughts!
I’m not sure how I feel about it. It feels like an attempt to make [name_m]Jax[/name_m] more “unique”, even though [name_m]Jex[/name_m] does make sense phonetically and has its own history. I’m not a huge fan of [name_m]Jax[/name_m] either, though. [name_f]My[/name_f] phone keeps correcting [name_m]Jax[/name_m] to [name_m]Ajax[/name_m], so you might like that. It also has a really long history in Greek mythology, and I think it has a really interesting sounds.

I’ve never encountered the surname [name_m]Jex[/name_m] before. I think it might get misheard as [name_m]Jake[/name_m] or [name_m]Jax[/name_m] since they’re more common names, which could be annoying for him.

It feels a little abrupt to me (and isn’t very nice in my accent), but I can definitely see the appeal! It’s fun and zippy.
