I prefer [name_m]Job[/name_m] to [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] to [name_m]Jobe[/name_m]. Yes, the two names are too similar for siblings.
I prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u] to [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] (thanks to [name_m]Kobe[/name_m] [name_m]Bryant[/name_m], I would have no clue how to say [name_m]Jobe[/name_m]. [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] like the Bible character–[name_m]Joe[/name_m]-b–or [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] like [name_m]Kobe[/name_m]–[name_m]JOE[/name_m]-bee?)–even without the pronunciation confusion. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is sleek and sensitive but still strong and professional and artsy enough to be wearable on any kind of guy. [name_m]Jobe[/name_m]… I really can’t wrap my mind about it, and I just love the Biblical associations I have with [name_u]Jude[/name_u] (although I feel like a very large percentage of people on here wouldn’t care at all). I agree; [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are way too close for brothers. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like I don’t think I could get away with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for brothers, either. 
I actually really like and prefer [name_m]Jobe[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are too similar to be siblings.
I’m a little confused about the pronunciation of [name_m]Jobe[/name_m].
But I think both [name_m]Job[/name_m] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are fantastic names that really grow up well.

I prefer [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] (rhymes with robe) over [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. Actually my favourite is [name_m]Jove[/name_m] but that wasn’t an option.

My [name_m]BIL[/name_m] & [name_m]SIL[/name_m] had the exact same dilemma only recently! They now have a gorgeous 8wk old [name_m]Jobe[/name_m], pronounced like the biblical [name_m]Job[/name_m]. In the end they decided on [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] so they could call him [name_u]Jobie[/name_u] when he was little.
Is there a reason not to spell it [name_m]Job[/name_m]? I like [name_m]Job[/name_m] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u] equally. However, I would think [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] is pronouned like [name_m]Kobe[/name_m] ([name_m]Bryant[/name_m]). That could be my ignorance…is [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] a common spelling?

I’m confused as to whether [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] is supposed to prn “jobe” or “joby.” I have heard Britberries say that “joby” is a term for…well, poop. I wouldn’t use [name_m]Job[/name_m]/[name_m]Jobe[/name_m]/[name_u]Joby[/name_u] because of that.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] makes me sing The Beatles every time. Always makes me smile.
I wouldn’t use them as sibling names.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] is Biblical, classic and cool. [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] is a misspelling of the Biblical name [name_m]Job[/name_m] so I don’t like it. I dislike changing spellings of long-established names just to get the correct pronunciation. I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] would be much more usable in the real world than [name_m]Job[/name_m]/[name_m]Jobe[/name_m].
I like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] better because when I saw [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] I sat here trying to figure out how it’s pronounced and that’s never a good thing to me!
I like both names, and agree they are too similar for brothers. they’re in the [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Jonas[/name_m], [name_m]Jove[/name_m] family of names, all of which I love.
My question is, why would you add an “e” to “[name_m]Job[/name_m]”? You may have an uneducated few who pronounce [name_m]Job[/name_m] as “jobb” --but you’d also have people who pronounce “[name_m]Jobe[/name_m]” like “[name_m]Joe[/name_m]-bee.” six of one, half a dozen of the other, so why not just spell it correctly?
I was just going to say about the poop thing. I think it’s more of a Scottish word but I might also be used in [name_f]England[/name_f] and for that reason I don’t really like [name_m]Jobe[/name_m]. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is much nicer.
I love them evenly; which is no help to you, is it? And sadly, they are to close for siblings : ( Maybe you could get away with it with twins : )
I prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_m]Job[/name_m] has some serious Biblical weight, whereas [name_u]Jude[/name_u] has the Beatles song. They’re too close for brothers.
My nephew’s name is [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and my son (due 11/4) is going to be [name_m]Job[/name_m]. I love both names! I agree that you should use the traditional spelling of [name_m]Job[/name_m] (I guess because that’s what I’m doing)…but we’re doing it because most people won’t necessarily get that “[name_m]Jobe[/name_m]” rhymes with robe…they will probably say [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-bee. You’ll probably end up having to pronounce it anyways. BUT, if you say “[name_m]Job[/name_m], and it rhymes with robe” or something as simple, most people won’t forget because it’s not that complicatd (3 letters!) and pretty memorable, in today’s world of Noahs, Masons, and Aidens.
[name_f]One[/name_f] of the main reasons we CHOSE [name_m]Job[/name_m] was because of the heavy weight behind the story—not of “persecution” like its oft-quoted meaning, but because the story is one of utter faithfulness from a mortal man to his God.
My vote is [name_m]Job[/name_m]. Obviously, we like the name!
Btw, we’re planning on nick-naming our son “[name_u]Joby[/name_u]” (so we [name_m]WILL[/name_m] be calling him [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-bee), but we want him to have the option to have the traditional and strong [name_m]Job[/name_m] for his future. And, the whole Scottish/Irish meaning of [name_u]Joby[/name_u] being poop doesn’t phase me since we use the names [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_u]Randy[/name_u], and [name_m]Dick[/name_m] in society and all the [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_u]Randy[/name_u] and [name_m]Dick[/name_m]'s have been just fine. 
Once you get to know the person, it’s not a big deal. Besides, we’ll be raising him in the States, so not a huge issue, at least for childhood.
Definitely prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_m]Jobe[/name_m] is too strong of a biblical association for me (even spelled this way).
No offense, but both are books of the Bible, so I’m not sure how one could be more of a biblical association than the other.
If you spelled it properly as [name_m]Job[/name_m], (unless you’re wanting the [name_m]Joe[/name_m]-bee prn) that would be my vote.
