[name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] is very handsome.

I prefer [name_m]John[/name_m].

I prefer [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] for the first name!

I prefer the first name [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], but I love the flow of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. Maybe because I know one, who goes by JP

I think it might be a little weird to have them have the same initials, if one is called by them. But certainly not very weird, or weird enough to avoid a name you truly love.

I prefer the flow of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u].

Also a cute nickname idea: I worked with a guy named [name_u]Jean[/name_u]-[name_m]Pierre[/name_m] who went by Jeep. The letter “J”'s name in [name_m]French[/name_m] sounds a lot like the letter “G” in English, so that helped. I didn’t like the guy that much, but his name rocked.

I voted for [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u], because it flows better to me and I prefer [name_m]John[/name_m] anyway.

Another nickname idea: It’s a nickname for [name_m]John[/name_m] anyway, but [name_m]Jack[/name_m] works especially well for that with the J from [name_m]John[/name_m] and A, C, and K from [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] in the correct order. I like [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]'s idea of Jeep- I know a woman whose husband’s name is Je@n-Fr@nçois (yes, he’s [name_m]French[/name_m] Canadian) and she and their friends call him [name_m]Jeff[/name_m].

I like both [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].

The tiebreaker for me was nicknames, I find [name_m]Johnny[/name_m] adorable as a nickname, and don’t like any nickname for [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] as a MN for that, when it’s used, it’s used entire.

[name_m]Both[/name_m] are lovely names. But [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] gets my vote. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] both [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_u]Paddy[/name_u] x

both names are really great, but [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] got the upper-hand for me.

I prefer [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] as a first name.

Thank you all for your replies, [name_m]John[/name_m] took out the poll but it was pretty close.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] for interest my fave was [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and DH likes [name_m]John[/name_m] We are both happy though either way. I like [name_m]Johnny[/name_m] better than [name_u]Paddy[/name_u] but I was worried about the initials thing but no one seems to think this is an absolute dealbreaker so we may go ahead with it…

I think I will walk into the delivery with two great names to choose from and decide on the day which one fits best (or debate endlessly until then, driving my poor hubby crazy in the process!).

Thanks again

[name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] flows better but I prefer [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] for the first name and the flow of [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u] is not bad. So I would go with [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. You don’t use the middle names that much anyway.
