Jonah, Lachlan, or Silas???

Which of these names do you like the most? The least? Why? Thanks for all of your help!

For no particular reason, I like:

  1. [name]Jonah[/name] (but I prefer [name]Jonas[/name])
  2. [name]Silas[/name]
3 [name]Lachlan[/name], but I don’t love it that much, even at #3. I have a hard time saying it. Almost like it gets caught in my throat.

[name]Hope[/name] that helps!?

  1. [name]Jonah[/name], first place by far
  2. [name]Lachlan[/name]
  3. [name]Silas[/name]

For me, it would depend on last name and siblings, though.

Thanks so much everyone!

I do like [name]Jonas[/name], but I would never use it because of the [name]Jonas[/name] Brothers. [name]Lachlan[/name] is pr. [name]Lock[/name]-lin.

Thanks, again!

I really like all 3 of them!
Not knowing the middle or last name, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be [name]Silas[/name]. Followed by [name]Lachlan[/name] and then [name]Jonah[/name].

[name]Lachlan[/name] I love this name and it is very loved here in Australia being (I think) in the top 5 names.

[name]Silas[/name] is nice but more vintage eg [name]Silas[/name] [name]Henry[/name] would make a good combo.

[name]Jonah[/name] I can’t get past the negative vibe of [name]Jonah[/name] and sayings like “You’ll be Jonahed” meaning that will be bad luck.

I have loved [name]Jonah[/name] since the first time I watched Sleepless in Seattle! I love how it is classic but uncommon. [name]Silas[/name] would be my second choice although it is a close first. I love this name but it ultimately fell out of favor for me because I worried the double s would be hard for him or my daughter to say. I don’t really like [name]Lachlan[/name], I guess I think it’s also hard to say but I think the pronunciation [name]Lock[/name]-lin is much better than what I was thinking it was (lock-lon). Good luck!

My favorite by far is [name]Lachlan[/name]! I know a little boy with this name who goes by Lach (prn. [name]Lock[/name]). Took awhile to get used to it, but now I like it!
[name]Silas[/name] would be my second choice. But certainly not a favorite for me.
[name]Jonah[/name] - really don’t care for this for some reason.
Of course some of these may sound better than others, depending on your last name…
