It’s a little difficult for me to tell if it would look weird to me if I had seen the name without knowing your worries about it. I think you should go with the spelling you prefer, which is [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]. As you said, the two syllables would be pronounced differently. Also, your daughter might end up having a different last name when she gets older, which would remove any potential issue.
[name_u]Jordan[/name_u] Dantraub looks perfectly fine
I would use [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]. Chances are, she may get married one day and then no longer be using the last name Dantraub!
I’d stick with the [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] spelling - no big issue with the last name [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I went to school with a [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] and she was always a very bubbly person so it gives me good vibes with that spelling. It depends on if you want her to be able to find a keychain with her name on it or not
I like [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] best simply because it’s more feminine than [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]. It specifies girl when on paper without seeing her first. Like [name_f]Erin[/name_f] and [name_m]Aaron[/name_m].
Coincidentally. I have a friend who’s name is [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] (I call her Joj, though, lol) and who’s last name also starts with [name_m]Dan[/name_m]. I think it’s fine, I didn’t notice until now.
Agreed! I don’t think there’s anything wrong in the -dan [name_m]Dan[/name_m]- part. It’s nowhere near as noticeable when you take the name as a whole. Plus, even though I like [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] a little bit better, in a weirdly GP way (I’d never use it!), I think [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] Dantraub looks much better than [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] Dantraub, honestly!
Definitely [name_u]Jordan[/name_u], especially if you prefer this spelling, I actually think [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] Dantraub looks and sounds better than [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] Dantraub.
