I like [name_f]Jordie[/name_f] more than [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]. What about [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] nn [name_f]Jordie[/name_f]? [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] or [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would be pretty. I would probably use [name_f]Joanna[/name_f] in the middle if you like the idea of [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-[name_u]Jo[/name_u] as another potential nickname, but otherwise I prefer [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] and [name_f]Jordie[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Good luck!
I strongly prefer [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] to [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] much better than [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] (I’ve never seen that spelling before). I’d go with [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] or [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] and use the nickname [name_f]Jordie[/name_f]. Good luck!
I could be wrong, but TX has a lot of Spanish speakers and wouldn’t [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]/[name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] sound more like Hor-dan?
Some other ideas (on behindthename if you want to look them up):
[name_f]Jacinthe[/name_f]
Jadzia (although, the polish pronunciation is very different from what we’d say in English)
Jagoda
[name_f]Jalila[/name_f]
Janeka
Janja
Jehona
Jelka
I prefer [name_u]Jordan[/name_u].
Other J names:
[name_f]Journey[/name_f]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f]
[name_f]Johnna[/name_f]
[name_f]Junia[/name_f]
[name_u]Jadis[/name_u]
[name_f]Jada[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
That’s not exactly how it works. For a lot of native Spanish speakers (like my mom) the English J tends to take on a Y sound. My husband’s name is [name_m]Jaren[/name_m], but when my mother says it, it comes out as Yaren so more than likely they would pronounce it Yordan. I like Jadzia a lot but I am not exactly sure how you pronounce it. I have seen [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] and I hate it which is why I kind of leaned more towards [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u].
I definitely like the [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] spelling better and I liked the suggestion of [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f], especially with [name_f]Kate[/name_f]!
I vastly prefer [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] over [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u], and second the suggestion of [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] (but [name_f]Jordana[/name_f]).
[name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] is a bizarre misspelling. I will also say that I know no less than 9 Jordans of both genders, and it makes for a lot of confusion. This name is overused and sounds dated, especially with the lovely, magical [name_f]Majken[/name_f].
I definitely prefer the [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] spelling. [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] seems unnecessary and will just be misspelled all the time. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] is lovely.
Other J names:
[name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacinta[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolie[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
I much prefer the [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] spelling. And while [name_f]Jordie[/name_f] might nothink be ideal for all ages, calling her [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and giving her the nickname option might help. She might even go by [name_u]Jodi[/name_u] or something.
Neither. [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] is very dated for either gender. [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] is a good suggestion. My favorite J names:
[name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
Other options:
[name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Joanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Jacinta[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]
[name_u]Jessie[/name_u]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]
I have seen the spelling [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] before, but I much prefer [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] or [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]. I find [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u] feminine and [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] masculine. I think most people would assume [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] is spelled [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] or [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u].
There lies the problem. We’re finding it extremely hard to find something as wonderful as [name_f]Majken[/name_f] and it’s proving to be difficult. I do like [name_f]Jordanna[/name_f] but I still feel like we’re not there yet. It’s depressing.
I definitely prefer [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] over [name_u]Jourdan[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Majken[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] “[name_f]Jordie[/name_f]” is perfect
[name_u]Jourdan[/name_u] looks like the “British” spelling of [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] (although I know this isn’t a case where the Brits put in a “u” in that Americans don’t).
Made my own mistake that I unfortunately can’t edit - an extra “in”!
I have never cared for the name [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and agree with other posters that is seems dated to me. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other J-name contenders? Seeing [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] and [name_f]Majken[/name_f] together as siblings would really surprise me. If you are really set on this name I would definitely use the traditional [name_u]Jordan[/name_u] spelling.
