What’s your overall thought on the boys name [name_m]Judd[/name_m]?
Would you ever consider using it?
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like, love or hate it?
When you hear the name what type of person do you see them as?
What type of middle name would you put with it?
Thanks in advance!
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f].
I have a hard time picturing [name_m]Judd[/name_m] on a little boy, but I think that’s because I have only known one [name_m]Judd[/name_m] in my life and he was a former uncle, so it’s always been an “adult” name to me.
I wouldn’t consider using it myself because of aforementioned former uncle, and it would sound awful with my last name.
I do like the name. It reminds me of [name_u]Jude[/name_u], a swoon-worthy favorite, but obviously not as popular. It’s got the whole “familiar but not popular” thing going for it.
I have no idea who I see the name as. I think it can fit a wide variety of people. I think it seems like a bit of a “cool guy” name to me thanks to [name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Nelson[/name_m] of “The Breakfast Club.”
I’d definitely pair it with a two or three syllable middle name. Here are a few options that came to mind:
[name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
I always wondered why [name_m]Judd[/name_m] wasn’t more popular. Honestly, my only association with it is [name_m]Judd[/name_m] from the Real World LOL. Obviously that wouldn’t be a problem association considering that was in 1994 (which was before I was born… but I was a huge Real World fan for a while and watched all the old seasons). Either way, I think it’s a great name. I don’t know if I’d ever personally use it because I’m not sure I like it ~enough~, but if I did, I would have no problems using it.
I don’t hate the name, but I don’t particularly like it. A similar name that I like a lot better is [name_m]Jed[/name_m]. I wouldn’t personally ever use it, but I think it’s an alright choice. Honestly, for some reason when I hear the name I think of a redneck/hillbilly; I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. I would like to see a longer, more classic middle name with it like [name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Judd[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m], etc.
[name_m]Judd[/name_m] is very cute! I like it as a nickname for [name_m]Judson[/name_m], as well. I can visualize this name on a little boy and a grown man. This is a great choice.
I have a new little nephew named this!
To me it sounds like quite a surnamey first name and also has quite a strong and abrupt sound, which makes it very masculine… Similar in feel to names like [name_m]Chad[/name_m] or [name_m]Jett[/name_m]
I personally like softer sounds for boys so would prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u] but that just comes down to personal preference.
Overall I think it’s a good strong choice with a modern feel
