Jude’s my son’s name and my favourite boys’ name. It’s simple and strong in its brevity and, despite its growing popularity, it feels unique. It feels both a tad serious to me and also gentle, and I can imagine it on a thoughtful, intelligent, creative boy. For me, it’s in the class of romantic masculine names like Elio, Lucian, Raphael, Hugo, Sebastian etc.

For me personally, it’s too religious. I also don’t like how it looks on paper but I think it sounds ok, though a bit stuffy. ‘Hey, Jude’ is a great song and it would be nice for a kid to have a song for themselves.
Just my personal preferences, I understand the appeal and it’s generally a good name for a child.

EDIT: It also rhymes with lewd, rude, crude, prude… not that it really matters what names rhyme with but my mind associates it with those.

I like it! I put it in the same category as other cool & short boy names that we’re seeing more of now, like [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], [name_u]Levi[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], or [name_u]Theo[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u], I’d consider it myself for a son. I do worry that as much as I like The Beatles “Hey Jude” it’s such an earworm that I’d have the song constantly stuck in my head every time I said my child’s name, which would ultimately drive me insane! Apart from that it’s a smart & attractive name!

I love it and would seriously consider it for my own son. I also love that it is the masculine form of Judy/Judith if you have a mother or grandmother with that name.

It’s fine. Personally not one of my favorites as far as sound goes but nothing wrong it. It’s currently #154 in the US so not too common nor unusual
