Came across the name [name]Jules[/name] and the more I think about it, the more it grows on me…[name]Just[/name] wondering you you all think? I can’t seem to find a Jul-- more formal name I like to use [name]Jules[/name] as a nn, does it hold up as a fn by itself??? Any input would be appreciated–Thanks!

I’m not usually big into nicknames as full names, but I think this could stand alone as a full name. I like it!

My first association with [name]Jules[/name] is [name]Jules[/name] [name]Verne[/name], but that may just be me. Have you thought about [name]Jewel[/name], nn [name]Jules[/name]?

I associate [name]Jules[/name] with a male, on fact we are using it as a nn for the male half of the twins I am pregnant with right now. His full name will be [name]Julian[/name].
I think that if you used [name]Jules[/name] on its own as a first name she would always be correcting that her name is not [name]Julie[/name]/[name]Julia[/name]. But I am assuming you want this for a girl. If not it def works alone for a boy a la [name]Jules[/name] [name]Vern[/name].

Not a fan, mostly because it sounds like you’re saying, “[name]Jewels[/name]”. We call my Aunt [name]Julie[/name] “[name]Jule[/name]” and to honor her my cousin’s name is [name]Rebecca[/name] [name]Jule[/name], but as a whole name it just sounds/looks incomplete. But that’s just my opinion; if you love it, go for it, because you could definitely do worse.

I think [name]Jules[/name] as a full name is a boys’ name through and through. I may be biased since [name]Julius[/name] nn [name]Jules[/name] is basically my top boys name… :smiley: but I really think giving a girl just [name]Jules[/name] wouldn’t be so good of a choice.

I know you’ve said you don’t like any of the Jul names but I think they’re so pretty :slight_smile: I’ll just list them out.
