Julia/Juliana/Juliet

[name]Just[/name] looking for opinions on these three names.

Up until a few weeks ago, my sister had claimed [name]Julia[/name] so I felt these were mostly off limits. She’s renounced [name]Julia[/name], though, so I’m considering them again.

Other favorites atm are [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Liliana[/name], and [name]Rachel[/name]–does one pair especially well with those names as a sister? I think I’m leaning toward [name]Julia[/name] simply because I’ve loved that the most consistently and I like that it doesn’t repeat the ana/anne/etc. from [name]Arianne[/name] and [name]Liliana[/name] (not to mention [name]Annika[/name] and [name]Hannah[/name] in my longer list), and it doesn’t share the -et ending with [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Violet[/name].

I like the nn Juju for when she’s little, and the occasional nn of [name]Jewel[/name]/Jul. WDYT?

Thanks!

I like [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Arianne[/name] & [name]Julia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] as combos. [name]Juliana[/name] isn’t my favorite of the three.

I like [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name], but only spelt Guilia and [name]Guiliana[/name]. Not crazy about [name]Juliet[/name] at all though.

Of the three [name]Juliet[/name] is my personal favorite but I like them all. I do think that [name]Julia[/name] fits in better with your list though, there are so many great -et names out there that it can be hard to choose. I knew a [name]Julia[/name] once and everyone called her [name]Jewel[/name] or [name]Jewels[/name] so I really like that. I think it would make a nice addition to your list

I prefer [name]Julia[/name]! I love it! It’s so stronge and pure…I think that [name]Julia[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] is gorgeuse! While [name]Julia[/name] is strong and short, [name]Isabelle[/name] is softer and it has a beautiful classic feel. [name]Julia[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] sounds pretty cool too!

I prefer [name]Julieta[/name] than [name]Juliet[/name], I feel that [name]Juliet[/name] sounds a bit incomplete  I like [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Arianne[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Lilliana[/name]

I strongly dislike the name [name]Juliana[/name] (sorry!), but I think that [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] sounds nice and [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is awesome, in my opinion

Good luck!

Actually, the Italian forms are spelled [name]Giulia[/name] and [name]Giulianna[/name] or [name]Giulietta[/name]. The “i” is first to soften the “g”; otherwise the g would be hard because of the “u”. You pronounce the names as in English – [name]Julia[/name], [name]Julianna[/name], and [name]Julietta[/name]. There’s no point in giving a child a name in a different language if you’re spelling it and pronouncing it incorrectly.

I prefer [name]Julia[/name] above the other two. I don’t much care for [name]Jewel[/name]/[name]Jewels[/name]; what’s wrong with [name]Julia[/name]? Also, [name]Gillian[/name] is a form of [name]Julian[/name]/[name]Julianna[/name].

I am in [name]LOVE[/name] with [name]Juliet[/name] right now… I have no idea why… But of the three I choose [name]Juliet[/name]…

I love just [name]Julia[/name]! TBH, I would probably call her [name]Julia[/name] about 95% of the time. I love nicknames though, so I’d want something fun and cutesy that I could call her every once in a while, and I think Juju is just too cute for words, especially when she’s little. If I’m in a hurry, I like that I could just call her Jul, too. But mainly she’d be [name]Julia[/name].

[name]LOVE[/name] your commentary on [name]Giulia[/name]/[name]Giuliana[/name]/etc., though, haha. The Guilia/[name]Guiliana[/name]/etc. spellings bug me to no end, but I’m tired of fighting people on it. haha.

I love both [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name]. I know an adorable Japanese girl named [name]Julia[/name] and because of her, I slightly prefer [name]Julia[/name]. Good luck:)

Definitely [name]Juliet[/name] - That is one GORGEOUS name!!! I love [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Clara[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Harper[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]

[name]Juliana[/name] is in my top 3 right now, so obviously I like it best. But I do love [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] too. And since you have several other [name]Anne[/name] type names as possibilities, one of the latter would probably be best for your use. I think [name]Juliet[/name] is my fav of those two, but [name]Julia[/name] strikes me as more classic (although I know [name]Juliet[/name] harkens back a long way–obviously [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s time!). I wonder why people seem to be down on [name]Juliana[/name]…the only thing I can think of is the “[name]Juli[/name]” part, since [name]Julie[/name] is a bit dated by itself. I like to think of it as closer to [name]Julia[/name] than [name]Julie[/name] though.

[name]Julia[/name] is my first choice for your sibset, followed closely by [name]Juliet[/name].

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Julia[/name]! Its my younger sister’s name and my great-grandmother’s. And as for ju-ju for a nickname, I love that too. My son calls his grandmother juju, in farsi it means something like little bird.

I love all three names, but I love [name]Julia[/name] the best and I think it works the best with your other names.

I love all three. They’re always running around on my lists. [name]Juliet[/name] is the one I would personally use, however we almost chose [name]Juliana[/name] for our second (who turned out to be a boy). I think I prefer the simplicity of [name]Julia[/name] over [name]Juliana[/name], though.

Thanks, ladies! I think if I would have used a Jul- name, it would have been [name]Julia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Eve[/name]. Right now, though, I just don’t love it as much as other names on my list. We’ll see as time goes by if it grows on me any.

I like [name]Juliet[/name] best, but [name]Julia[/name] is nice as well.

I love [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Juliet[/name].
