[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]KAte[/name_f] is gorgeous, I only know 2 julias one who is around 18 or 19 and the other is around 11

Thanks hailey! Goodluck to you : )

I love [name_f]Julia[/name_f] … Probably because I know this little sweet girl named [name_f]Julia[/name_f]. She has redblonde curly hair… [name_m]Just[/name_m] adorable. And I prefer [name_f]Julia[/name_f], rather than [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is adorable nickname, but not as given name. To cutesy.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favored combo is [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]. I just feel [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] are bit too close right next to each other.

I would go with [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]. [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is a [name_m]French[/name_m] MALE name (one syllable “zhool”) so I would use it for [name_f]Julia[/name_f]'s nickname. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is quite a lovely blend of classic and spunky and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is more versatile than just plain [name_u]Jules[/name_u] for a first name.

Thanks for the input all! I was leaning toward julia kate helene too : )

[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is nice…but I would personally go for the less used and lovely “[name_f]Juliette[/name_f].”

I like [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but I’ve never been a fan of double barrelled first names. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Julia[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jules[/name_u]? Or [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] be her full name? I also liked [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

I think [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is so pretty!

I voted for [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you pronounce [name_f]Helene[/name_f] as ay-lenn (the [name_m]French[/name_m] way) or huh-lenn? Personally I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation, with the accents (Hélène), but I can see that being inconvenient. I knew a [name_f]Julia[/name_f] who was sometimes called [name_u]Jules[/name_u], so you get both in one name. I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], but feel like it doesn’t go well here. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] would be lovely though!

[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], with the nickname [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. This way you get to use the two!

[name_u]Jules[/name_u] is to nicknamey / masculine to be a girl’s stand alone name.

I voted for [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] as well. [name_u]Jules[/name_u] to me is a boy’s name.

I went with [name_f]Helene[/name_f] as the middle/ second middle because I really don’t like the name [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

Really appreciate the feedback! All of the points everyone is bringing up are exactly my concerns…jules maybe too masculine?..two names for a first name possibly too much?

Definitely thinking of using [name_f]Julia[/name_f] or [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] with [name_u]Jules[/name_u] as nn. Also a consideration is [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]?

As for [name_f]Helene[/name_f], I prefer french pronunciation for certain. Would it be better to spell it Helenne to emphasize that pronunciation?

Sorry all over the place! Thank you thank you for input!

I’m a [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] but [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_u]Jules[/name_u] have both been used as nicknames. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], in their various forms, are two of the names [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] used most frequently as you probably know as the lovely [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is also one of your choices. The great Shakespearean actor, [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] [name_m]Olivier[/name_m], named one of his daughters [name_u]Julie[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
I like giving a child the original name even if you plan on only using the shortened form. [name_f]My[/name_f] vote is for [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] which gives you the option of either [name_u]Jules[/name_u] or [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Teenage girls often like to use a different version of their name to the one we chose for them so various options that you like are a good idea.
[name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Julia[/name_f] has gone through a fairly recent period of popularity, it is one of the classics and so will not date like many of the popular names that appear out of nowhere.

[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is beautiful and like you said very versatile as far as nn’s. Also love the meaning of these three names…youthfu,l pure, heart/loyal

I’m not a terribly huge fan of [name_f]Julia[/name_f] (I prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]), but [name_u]Jules[/name_u] is a typically male name, with the exception of the occasional nickname on a girl.
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] has a pretty sound.

I like the double barreled [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f].

[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f]! So regal and gorgeous. I don’t really find [name_u]Jules[/name_u] nicknamey/cutesy, but I do find it pretty masculine (unless as a nn), so I would opt for [name_f]Julia[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jules[/name_u], honestly. But I know relatively few [name_m]Julias[/name_m] (one, actually, and I haven’t seen her for several months, and she’s about my age). [name_f]Julia[/name_f]'s classic and gorgeous–I wouldn’t have any qualms about using [name_f]Julia[/name_f]. If you do have your heart set on [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], though, I would be open to the possibility that people won’t call her that regularly. I think with double-barrels, it’s fairly common for lots of people to think they can just call them by the first half of their double barrel. The one girl I knew with a double barrel ([name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]) went by [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] the whole time, and didn’t seem to have a problem with it, but I can see people trying to call a [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] just [name_f]Julia[/name_f]/[name_u]Jules[/name_u]. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Helene[/name_f] is gorgeous, though, and I’d love to meet a little girl with the name!

I actually prefer [name_u]Jules[/name_u] (which I voted for), however…
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] will give you the option of the nickname [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and it is the option which gives the most options for names/nicknames.
Let me explain, as per you concerns of your daughter having 2 first names, I have 2 first names. [name_f]My[/name_f] mother thought that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] in all its variations were too common a combination so she choose another name to go with the [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. When I got older, having 2 first names got annoying so I dropped the [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. Should she get tired of the [name_f]Kate[/name_f], she can literally just go by [name_f]Julia[/name_f] or the nickname [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. This combo affords her the most options as to what she chooses to be called.
