I have recently fallen in love with the names [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name] but I’m afraid it is just a fad that will pass soon. My question to you lovely people is do you like [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name]? Which name do you like best? Would you ever name you daughter [name]Julia[/name]/[name]Juliana[/name]? [name]How[/name] will this name be perceived? I am trying to find the PERFECT name for my baby girl and its so much harder than I ever thought it would be. [name]Do[/name] you have any other suggestions that are along the same lines as [name]Julia[/name] or [name]Juliana[/name]? I am loving [name]Felicity[/name] as well, but probably just as a middle name because I don’t think I can see a [name]Felicity[/name] as a teenager. [name]Frances[/name] (a family name) is also in the running as a middle name option.
Thanks for all of your help! I really appreciate it!
To be honest I’ve always thought of [name]Julia[/name] as a very middle aged lady name and I was actually puzzled to realise that [name]Julia[/name] was ranked #77 in the UK because I’ve never met or heard of any child named [name]Julia[/name]. [name]Juliana[/name] seems fresher and much modern to me, but at the same all these -ana names are very popular and almost trendy right now ([name]Liliana[/name], [name]Oriana[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], Joviana, [name]Eliana[/name] etc). So because of the trend I’m leaning more towards [name]Julia[/name], although [name]Juliana[/name] [name]Frances[/name] would be a beautiful combo.
I think [name]Felicity[/name] is beautiful, it’s underused and I think it would age pretty well.
Thank you sheflieswithherownwings! I am trying to avoid trendy names so maybe I should just scrap this one and start over. I want a name that is refreshing and not overdone. Thanks for the [name]Felicity[/name] love
[name]Don[/name]'t you dare scrap them! I adore both names. Currently, I’m favoring [name]Julia[/name], but they always flip flop. My favorite of the [name]Julie[/name] names is [name]Julianne[/name], with [name]Juliet[/name] as a close second.
Thank you usagurl14! I have and continue to consider [name]Julianne[/name], which is gorgeous! For some reason, [name]Juliet[/name] seems ultra-feminine to me … I know go figure Thank you for the sweet comment! I really appreciate it!
[name]Julia[/name] is a bit boring to me, and I associate it with an older generation. [name]Juliana[/name] seems fresher, and while I probably wouldn’t use it myself I’d still love to see it used. [name]Felicity[/name] I absolutely adore and I would use in a heartbeat - and I’ve seen it on all ages so that doesn’t bother me at all. [name]Juliana[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] both seem like very happy names to me for whatever reason.
I like [name]Felicia[/name] more than [name]Felicity[/name] but [name]Felicity[/name] is very cute and fresh-faced.
I like [name]Juliana[/name] more than [name]Julia[/name]. [name]Juliet[/name] is a nice combination of the romance of [name]Juliana[/name] and the crispness of [name]Julia[/name] though.
I could see [name]Felicia[/name] and [name]Juliana[/name] as sisters, and [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Felicity[/name] as sisters.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]! Think it will age very well. [name]Juliana[/name] I like more than [name]Julia[/name]. But both are a bit too popular for me. If [name]Juliet[/name] were an option that would be my pick
I adore [name]Julia[/name]. [name]One[/name] of my close friends is named [name]Julia[/name] nn [name]Jules[/name] and I’ve always loved it. I prefer it to [name]Juliana[/name], which seems a bit too much for me, but only just.
I know someone who recently named her daughter [name]Julia[/name] after her mom. Grandma [name]Julia[/name] hates the name, she thinks it’s dated. The only [name]Julia[/name]'s I know are older women. [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Julianne[/name], and [name]Julianna[/name] are fresher but not at all trendy and they suit all ages. Or you could go with [name]Jewel[/name]
