Juliette or Juliet?

I love the name [name]Juliet[/name]! It has the connection to [name]Shakespeare[/name], which I love, while still being widely accepted (in real life, people may stare at a [name]Desdemona[/name] :frowning: ) That being said, I love the classic spelling β€œ[name]Juliet[/name].” However, if the Shakespearean connection is too tragic for you, [name]Juliette[/name] is not as connected to [name]Romeo[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name], [name]IMO[/name].

Good luck!

I’m not pregnant yet by the way - just name obsessed
My bf and I don’t agree on many names but his grandfather was [name]Romeo[/name] so [name]Juliet[/name] is a top contender!
We are born and raised in quebec and plan to stay so it’s tricky.
To the English speaking population Juliet would be the common spelling, but to the French it would be Juliette. Ironically enough, my bf is French Canadian and he prefers Juliet.

[name]Juliet[/name] is my favorite spelling. I think it is simple and sweet. I like more uncluttered names.
