We’ve been ttc for awhile and very unexpectedly just got a positive test! Very early along (sticky vibes appreciated), but we are having fun talking about names…
I’ve loved the name [name_f]Summer[/name_f] with our last name for awhile, but now I’m worried I can’t use it. Is that silly? Same goes for the name [name_f]June[/name_f]. What do you all think?
Hoping to be posting a bit more frequently in the near future!
I don’t think it’s odd! [name_f]June[/name_f] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] are both familiar and well used as names that they don’t feel tied to that one time of year imo!
I love both [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_f]June[/name_f] and definitely think they’re both useable! If you’re due in the summertime/June too I think they’re perfectly fitting!
I have a cousin who was born in a [name_f]June[/name_f] and her name is [name_f]Sommer[/name_f] . I have never once thought it was weird but very much in style with my aunt .
I adore [name_f]June[/name_f]! but personally I find it hard to find a middle I adore with it. So I prefer it in the middle
Firstly wishing you all the best with this journey you’re about to embark on
I think using [name_f]Summer[/name_f] for a summertime baby is adorable! I absolutely love [name_f]Summer[/name_f] such a sunny, bright name that feels warm and joyful. I think would be lovely for a summer baby to have a name that evokes all the joy summer brings.
I also love [name_f]June[/name_f] she has a vintage, outdoorsy, summery vibe that is charming with a kooky retro vibe. [name_f]June[/name_f] makes me smile she’s lovely. Again I think having a [name_f]June[/name_f] born in [name_f]June[/name_f] would be absolutely fine!
I love both [name_f]Summer[/name_f] & [name_f]June[/name_f] great choices.
Congratulations!
I think [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_f]June[/name_f] could definitely still work on a summertime baby! They are both familiar, sweet, spunky names.
I don’t think it’s silly! I see the concern with her being born in [name_f]June[/name_f]. But I think it still works just fine. For all you know, she could be born early in [name_f]May[/name_f] or even [name_f]April[/name_f] and not even be a summer baby! [name_f]My[/name_f] son came 4 weeks early in a totally different month than I expected.
I think when children are young, or just born, we think a lot about when they are born. “She’s a summer baby!” “He’s a [name_f]June[/name_f] baby”, etc. But when they grow up, we don’t think very deeply about people’s birthdays. We don’t know the birthdays of most people you know or meet. You just know the person by their name. So, I would know her as [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and not think, oh [name_f]Summer[/name_f] because she was born in [name_f]June[/name_f]!
With that said, I don’t think it is too different than naming someone a Christmas/Winter name like [name_f]Holly[/name_f], [name_f]Joy[/name_f], etc in the [name_f]Winter[/name_f]. It is fine. [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is a wonderful name, imo. So is [name_f]June[/name_f]
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_f]June[/name_f] are wonderful names! If you love them, I can’t find any motive why you shouldn’t use them. They’re bright, elegant and colorful.
