I like variations on the name [name_u]June[/name_u] ([name_f]Juna[/name_f], [name_f]Junia[/name_f], etc.) – but is that odd for a baby that will be born in [name_f]September[/name_f] or [name_f]October[/name_f]? It seems like a [name_f]May[/name_f] could be born anytime of the year, but an [name_f]April[/name_f] ought to be born in [name_f]April[/name_f]. Similarly, would you use a season name ([name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u]) for a person born at a different time of the year, or would that be strange?
I actually think it’s better to have a different birth month than your name as it shows that she was named [name_u]June[/name_u]/[name_f]Junia[/name_f] because you loved the name. It seems too simplistic to be named the month you were born in, as if the parents couldn’t come up with anything else.
I agree-- it’s a lovely name for any time of year!
I actually like it better on babies NOT born in [name_u]June[/name_u]! When your name is [name_u]June[/name_u] and you were born in [name_u]June[/name_u], it almost seems like your parents had no imagination. And for the record, I love the name!
I would think it odd if my parents named me [name_u]June[/name_u] if I was born in [name_f]September[/name_f] but I would think it sweet if my parents named me [name_u]June[/name_u] if I was born in [name_u]June[/name_u].
