I am veering way off my normal path into a completely different direction.
I’m lovin on some cutesy oddball names right now.
What are everyone’s thought on [name_f]Junia[/name_f] Lilybelle? Nn Junebug or Lilu or Luli.
Whaaat about Lilybelle [name_u]June[/name_u] ? Is Lilybelle just too cutesy for a first name?
[name_f]My[/name_f] other question is whether or not any of you might have same cutesy middles for [name_f]Willow[/name_f] with this kind of vibe.
Yeah, sorry, I don’t like it at all. I was curious to see if this was a birth announcement, and was praying that it wasn’t.
Lilybelle is too cutesy and it sounds like a name of a cow.
I love [name_f]Junia[/name_f]! [name_f]Junia[/name_f] is sophisticated and an ancient gem. Pairing it with Lilybelle just brings it down.
Lilybelle just sounds like a cute nickname for someone named [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], or something like that.
[name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is a lovely name. That combo matches.
[name_f]Junia[/name_f] is ok, and [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] are lovely separated or hyphenated ([name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Belle[/name_f]) but not smooshed into one. At least if it was [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Belle[/name_f], she could easily choose to just go by one.
I like it fine. I think [name_f]Junia[/name_f]'s serious, Ancient [name_m]Roman[/name_m] vibe balances Lilybelle enough (it does sound a little cow-ish…I think that’s fine as long as it’s in the middle and paired with a more serious first name.) The reverse (Lilybelle [name_u]June[/name_u]) I don’t like at all–too southern-cutesy.
The only similar mn suggestion I can think of is [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]. All the other names that I think have the same vibe as Lilybelle are word/flower names that wouldn’t go too well with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] ([name_f]Chrysanthemum[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], etc.)
