WDYT of this combo? I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]–[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]'s a big family name, and, in the previous three generations, has been used with three variations ([name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Cathleen[/name_f], and [name_f]Karen[/name_f]), and I love the idea that [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] would honor all three of them in a fresh way. I love everything about her. I always have a fit pairing her up, though, and have been sitting on [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for years. I thought I loved her, but now I’m sort of wondering if I gave up looking too soon.
If you’re not keen on [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] Lively, any ideas for another MN for [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]? I’m realizing that I’m not as married to [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] as I once thought I was, and I’d been tossing about [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] for a bit, too. Maybe it’s time to open the field of options to find something really amazing? I’ve realized there’s a few other Berries who’ve had [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] combos that I really, really adore–[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], etc.!–so I’m wondering if I’d find something else out there that’s even better than [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]? (Is [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] boring?)
While we’re at it, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] vs. [name_f]Kaja[/name_f]? I love the [name_f]Kaja[/name_f] spelling for my Scandinavian ancestry, but I love the light and airy and beachy feel of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], too, and that it’d probably have less pronunciation issues in my country.
I like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s boring; it grounds and polishes a unique name like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] (though it may not be uncommon where you are–mine is an American in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]'s perspective). I vastly prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] to [name_f]Kaja[/name_f], but I think both are lovely.
I feel like a lot of categories of names work well with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]: [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Thessaly[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], etc.
I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] Lively! I had [name_f]Gaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] on my own list for a long time, so these two just sound so natural together to me, and I love the softer s spelling of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. Lively is just all kinds of fabulous!
I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] over [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. Since you seem to like longer, feminine names with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], how about:
I think I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] Lively. [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] works just fine, but the O sound in [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], seems to liven that combo up a bit for me.
My general preference is for a consonant start of middle if first name ends in a vowel, which would rule out your entire list. But I have to say I really like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] or [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] as they’re more traditional but still have something light and ethereal about them which is nice with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f].
Besides the suggestions already given ([name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] or [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] would be lovely), I’d think about:
I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], maybe because I have [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] on my list, but either way, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is stunning! [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] is also lovely
Thanks, everyone! I’m not sure I’ve seen anything that strikes me quite yet, although I was intrigued by [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], which is odd, because it’s not the kind of name I feel like I’ve liked with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] in the past? I don’t love [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] enough to use it, but [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] did intrigue me for a short while! I’d love to hear any other ideas you might have!
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is my absolute favorite girl’s name (n.1) and I also struggled for its middle name. I finally settled on [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], but I still like other middles too.
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] Lively is lovely, though at first I thought Lively was your last name. (Reminds me of [name_u]Blake[/name_u] Lively) Maybe you would like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Livana[/name_f]? or [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Liv[/name_f]? I’m not a fan of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] because of -a ending and a- starting, and I don’t think [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is boring!
I like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] better, [name_f]Kaja[/name_f] means ‘let’s go’ (pronounced ka - ja here though I know it is same as [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] in English speaking countries) in my country. But if you live in a Scandinavian country (I don’t think so?!), [name_f]Kaja[/name_f] would be nice too. And I have a Norwegian friend named [name_f]Kaya[/name_f], would that spelling be your option?
I think [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] Lively! I think [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is such a cool name and like you said a fresh new way to honour [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. I personally like the cool [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] with the more classical [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] as I feel like it tempers it just enough and I think Lively is a really cool second middle!
