I like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and definitely prefer this spelling. I do think she would have to correct people on the spelling because of the existence of variations, but that’s true even for classic names like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/Elizabeth.

I imagine a [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] to be quite connected to nature and spunky. She would have a strong personality and be very sociable but also independent and mature. I also think the mn options from @anon68906791 and @Greyblue are gorgeous!

I absolutely love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]! On my UC I have [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] but [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] is very pretty, go check out my thread, Names similar to Kaia?, for some middle name suggestions!

I really like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. It’s sweet. I’m partial to the [name_f]Caia[/name_f] spelling but that’s just because I know a [name_f]Caia[/name_f]. [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is a fine spelling too.

I don’t tend to like the [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] kinds of names. I’ve probably taught too many [name_f]Kayla[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] types of names and they run together a bit in my mind.

My K name choices run more to [name_u]Kestrel[/name_u], [name_u]Kaye[/name_u], [name_f]Kitty[/name_f], [name_f]Kamala[/name_f], [name_f]Keturah[/name_f], [name_f]Keziah[/name_f], [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f], [name_f]Kerria[/name_f], [name_f]Kirrily[/name_f].

That said, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] has a lovely sound to it.

Good luck!

I dont love the name, but [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] has the advantage of having a single pronunciation whereas [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] could be [kai-uh] or [kay-uh].

I think it’s lovely and agree with all of the above. For me, it evokes the cool, oceanic vibes, with the underlying elegance of a classic, feminine name.

I would lean toward the [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] spelling. [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] is a slang for something closely associated with [name_m]Bob[/name_m] [name_u]Marley[/name_u], and was the first thing I thought of seeing this thread :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. A great international variation on some popular names and always makes me think of the ocean. In the [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries, I would go with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. In countries where it’s more popular, I would go with [name_f]Kaja[/name_f]. I would definitely skip the [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] and [name_f]Kaiya[/name_f] spellings altogether.

I like it. I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and she was (probably still is) such a sweet, helpful, respectful kid.

[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f]
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]

I LOVE [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. It’s so pretty. I picture a blonde surfer girl for some reason not sure why. I just feel like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] would be a laid back person. And I do think if your name is [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] you will be asked how to spell it all the time or your name will often be misspelled.

I like…

One of the best names in the world! I know a 4 y/o with this spelling and she’s the coolest. I also know a 30 y/o spelt [name_f]Kyah[/name_f] and she is also amazing! It Australia there is a town called [name_u]Kiah[/name_u], I also really love the spellings [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] and [name_f]Kaja[/name_f].

I like it a lot. [name_f]My[/name_f] first association is with the American girl doll so I do think of [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] before [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] but very pretty either way. I think it’s a name that works in most people. The spelling wouldn’t cause any more spelling issues than [name_f]Maya[/name_f]/Maia imo. It lends itself to all sorts of middle names

I think it’s cute but definitely think spelling and pronouncing it might be an issue for some.

Im not a fan of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] but it sounds lovely with [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] as a middle name.
