I really love this name that I just recently heard! I wanted to see what your opinions are on these questions!
I don’t like the name [name_f]Maia[/name_f] (or any other spellings) but is [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] different enough that it won’t just be another [name_f]Maia[/name_f]?
Is [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] going to become super popular soon?
[name_m]Will[/name_m] people struggle to spell it?
I like the nn [name_u]Kay[/name_u] for it, but how people say “k” get confusing?
I really like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]! I think [name_u]Kai[/name_u] might make for sense than [name_u]Kay[/name_u] as a nickname, unless you’re going with [name_u]Kay[/name_u] based on the first letter.
Kai-uh is the correct pronunciation for this spelling, so the nickname [name_u]Kay[/name_u] would be a bit of a stretch if you pronounced it this way, unless going off the first letter. It shouldn’t matter too much though [name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest [name_u]Kaya[/name_u]? (kay-uh)
Are you pronouncing [name_u]Kai[/name_u]-uh or [name_u]Kay[/name_u]-uh? If [name_u]Kai[/name_u]-uh then spell [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], if [name_u]Kay[/name_u]-Uh spell [name_u]Kaya[/name_u], but I’d still pronounce [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] like [name_u]Kai[/name_u]-uh because of [name_f]Maya[/name_f], but since [name_f]Kayla[/name_f] is a common name then people may think it’s [name_u]Kay[/name_u] not [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is a fine nickname but [name_u]Kai[/name_u] makes more sense.
I am pronouncing [name_u]Kai[/name_u] - uh , so I agree that [name_u]Kai[/name_u] would make more sense to be a nn, but I associate [name_u]Kai[/name_u] with the boys name. I still like it the more I think about it.
I like the [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] spelling the best! I know a [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and a [name_f]Kaija[/name_f], I think the j is unnecessary. It’s pretty! [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is so cute for both!
I’ve always loved [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] since I first heard it with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] Kanepi the tennis player. Also with you using the nn [name_u]Kay[/name_u], how are you pronouncing [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]? I pronounce it k-eye-uh
Kaia is so bright, spunky, and energetic! I really like it. I’m not a huge fan of [name_u]Kay[/name_u], although I do like the simplicity of it. I agree that the previous suggestion of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] would make a natural nickname!
