Karly

Thoughts on [name_f]Karly[/name_f]?

It is one of the few times I prefer a “trendier” spelling.

But [name_f]Carly[/name_f] feels a bit 70s/80s to me and [name_f]Karly[/name_f] does not, somehow?

Thoughts on [name_f]Karly[/name_f]? What would a [name_f]Karly[/name_f] be like? And which spelling do you like?

It feels a bit like it peaked in the early/mid 2000s. I would probably do [name_f]Carlie[/name_f] or [name_f]Karlie[/name_f] if I had to.

I love [name_f]Karly[/name_f], in second grade my best friend was [name_f]Karly[/name_f] and I’ve always thought it was beautiful

This is actually my favorite spelling of the name, but I do tend to like K names over C names. I think it’s fun and spunky.

Actually prefer the C on this one for some reason even though I generally prefer Ks. Reminds me of the spelling of Eukaryotic :joy:

I really like [name_f]Carly[/name_f]. I really like [name_f]Karla[/name_f]. I don’t so much like [name_f]Karly[/name_f] or [name_f]Carla[/name_f]. I think it’s just what I’m used to. If I knew a [name_f]Karly[/name_f] I think it would grow on me.

I prefer [name_f]Carlie[/name_f] or [name_f]Carly[/name_f] because I like it as a nn for [name_f]Carla[/name_f], and because I don’t really like the look of the letter K at the beginning of names. I think it is a little dated-but that’s not a bad thing. Kind of nostalgically sweet and feisty.

I prefer [name_f]Carly[/name_f] as I like the nostalgic 70s country girl feel :horse::wood::cactus:

However I’m really not a fan of names with a harsh K/C sound like Karly/Carly, [name_f]Kayla[/name_f], [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Kylie[/name_f] or [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] they just do not sound attractive to my ears.

[name_f]Karly[/name_f] is okay - it’s got a sort of glam but tough sound - I like Karly; it looks slightly more interesting.

I think [name_f]Karly[/name_f] actually looks more out of date than [name_f]Carly[/name_f]
