Kate or Eryn?

What do you like better [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or [name_f]Eryn[/name_f]?
Middle name likely [name_f]Marie[/name_f]… also looking for suggestions for a modern update similar [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (as it is a family name)? Came across [name_f]Mariya[/name_f] but nothing else yet that seems to fit well.

Thanks!!

With [name_f]Marie[/name_f] I like [name_f]Eryn[/name_f] better, though I prefer the [name_f]Erin[/name_f] spelling. As far as a new name for [name_f]Marie[/name_f], any version of “[name_f]Mary[/name_f]” would work.

[name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Marya[/name_f], [name_f]Moira[/name_f], [name_f]Maura[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Maria[/name_f], [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Maren[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_u]Marian[/name_u], [name_f]Mitzi[/name_f], [name_f]Mari[/name_f].

I love both, but am partial to [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Erin[/name_f] to [name_f]Eryn[/name_f] although I am sure you are choosing that spelling for a reason. It’s actually a close call for me because [name_f]Erin[/name_f]/[name_f]Eryn[/name_f] is way less popular than it used to be and I would love to see it on a baby! If you’re worried about the name being popular, there are more Kates between [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], etc. Basically, you can’t go wrong with either one.

You are in luck with [name_f]Marie[/name_f]! There are a million variations on [name_f]Marie[/name_f]/[name_f]Maria[/name_f]/[name_f]Mary[/name_f]. Here are a few:
[name_f]Marin[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariana[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Mairi[/name_f]
[name_f]Malia[/name_f]
[name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariella[/name_f]
[name_f]Marika[/name_f]
[name_f]Miren[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Mariya[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Mara[/name_f]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Myra[/name_f]

Lol my name is [name_f]Eryn[/name_f], spelled this way too. My name is [name_f]Eryn[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], so I’ll go with [name_f]Eryn[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f].

But, obviously, I am biased…

While I prefer the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f] to [name_f]Eryn[/name_f], I think [name_f]Eryn[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is a better flow if you choose to stick with [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. However, like some of the other posters, I prefer the name spelled as [name_f]Erin[/name_f].

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Marin[/name_f] or [name_f]Marin[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Erin[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f]

I prefer [name_f]Erin[/name_f] because [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is really popular when you add up [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Kaitlin[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], and all other names that lead to it as a nickname.
